stock trials the real sport
I need a new rear tyre and was wondering what 2 get most of the bikes on tarty are pictured with maxxis minions what r ur opinions out there. i currently ride with halo nobblers at a measly 2.2 bcause thats all my frame can take
smelly joe
go for maxxis high rollers, the super tacky ones!! super thick sidewalls make them very hard to pinch with.

From my personal experience of riding other people's stock bikes, I almost always dislike Michelin 2.35 tyres on the rear, I've always loved Maxxis Minion and Swampthings on the rear as 26x2.5 sizing in Super tacky, Slow reezaay is possibly too soft and'll wear down too fast, so if you're into purist trials, none of that 24" and BMX type stuff, then a fat Maxxis super tacky tyre is probably best (and they are supposed to offer great anti-snakebite properties due to their dual ply casing).

I find the Maxxis Mo-Fo 2.35 i great tyre for the rear, i've had no puntures with it, even though i've ghostied my monty into thorn bushes, and run with basically no air in the tyres... cool.gif

i dont see why everyone dislikes the mitchlins, i think there great and u can get them nice n podg for sidehops. also they grip really well and frankly look rather sexy tongue.gif

For a stock bike I recomend a maxxis minion 2.35 on the rear .My mate runs this tyre and it`s really grippy and has some spring in the tyre.And it`s also very puncture resistent.As for the front I would either get a maxxis minion front tyre or a panaracer fire 2.1 .The paneracer looked really grippy for the front when a saw tunnicliffe use it. thumbsupanim.gif
So rear=maxxis minion2.35
front=Paneracer fire 2.1
You can buy the maxxis from www.tartybikes.co.uk and the paneracer i`m guessing from www.chainreactioncycles.com.
Cheers
Deonn.
