  1. Tyre choice is the only drawback with 24"
  2. It's a lightweight aluminium bike frame used for trials biking, of course it's going to crack/snap eventually. You really can't expect too much life out of a competition frame..
  3. With that booster, tensioner, uncut steerer and pointless front disc rotor (he's not running a front brake) I highly doubt it. The tyres are easy on the eye though..
  4. I bought one of these stems off of you guys recently:http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/26_inch_stems/tryall_3d_forged_no_top_cap/c41p10982.html Are these the stems in question? And is that why they were down to £30? I hadn't noticed anything odd about with it whilst riding but looking at now the left side of the handlebar seems to be pointing slightly down and back, and the right side of the handlebar points up and forward..

Cheers mate, I agree that the frames are seriously stiff!

Haha, cheers. How so? I was quite impressed with the quality of the welds, it's very consistent, no imperfections..
  7. You could try putting a 1-2mm spacer under every drive side nipple, that would have the same effect as having shorter spokes on the drive side.

Cheers! It's a 76degree head angle, and the head tube is 150mm long - so no need for a tower of spacers to get the right stem height. I agree with you that a steeper head angle is better.

It's what I asked for, I prefer the look of it with the "massively long seat tube", it makes my bike look a bit more like a normal bike. The seat tube is 360mm long with a 330mm long seat post and a quick release seat clamp - so I can put the seat up to a useable position, but it's completely out of the way when it's slammed. Far better IMO than having a pointless seat on top of a tiny seat tube just for 'the look'. Edit: Yeah Josh is pretty awesome at frame building, I'd definitely recommend him!

The head angle feels really good, I'd actually consider going steeper! It makes the front end nice and nimble, and increases the reach/cockpit room.

The frame came through earlier this week, I've built it up with a 'temporary build' for now (front and back Maxxis holy rollers, a 70x25 Hope stem and Hope QR's are on there way) but it rides really good! I went for an unconventional geometry: Wheelbase: 1030mm Chainstays: 360mm BB height: + 40mm Head Angle: 76 deg There's some great custom features on the frame too like the fully enclosed dropouts, triple brake mounts, and a 150mm headtube length. So far I'm really pleased, it rides exactly how I wanted it to!
  12. Crank brothers do a 'burnt orange' coloured QR, might be worth a look? Chain Reaction stock them.
  13. I run 20:15, it's a good ratio to ride trials and street. I used to use 20:14, I found it a bit too hard for 'pure trials' but it was good for building speed.
  14. Get an Avid clean sweep G2 rotor with new pads and it'll be awesome.
