  1. Looks awesome! I always fancied a Leeson with the peg conversion, if only I could go back in time!
  2. The weight saving sounds good but not sure if I can justify the cost, £28 for the 24" version or £5.50 for the Continental 24" tube I currently run.
  3. Looking good 👍 If you're ever in/near Aberdeen, give me a shout. I'll be up in Aviemore in August and planning to take a day trip to the Inverness skateppark and pump track.
  4. I got back into trials this year after around 15 years off and around 10 years away from bmx. I went with a 24" with a TMS Silex 24 which I was lucky to get through the cycle to work scheme through Shaun from FXN. Could be an option for you, TMS make a Silex 26 too depending what direction you. I'm from more of a bmx background which is why I went 24 and not regretted it:
  5. Sorry just noticed I missed this comment, I take it you've watched the Go Fast Pull Up Jimmy Levan documentary? Well worth a watch if you haven't already! I used to ride a Metal Kizz as was a fan of Dan Price
  6. A photo from last night, still loving this and enjoying the whole learning process again
  7. It's certainly a different looking frame, the front triangle reminds me of the Orange Zero. "Touch wood" I haven't had any issues with my TMS Silex V4 24 complete, I wish I made the move back to street trials sooner as loving it.
  8. Sounds like I need to try the SD7 levers. I wasn't aware of the Jitsie pads, I'll try them at some point
  9. I went for the Avid FR-5 levers as was worried about the small dial being easy to break on the SD7. Cool, Odyssey Linear SLS brake cables work very well if you’re planning on foot jam whips. If not, Shimano SP51 outer cables are meant to give a solid feeling brake: https://www.tartybikes.co.uk/disc_brake_spares/shimano_sp51_outer_cable/c110p11637.html?pos=3991&search_params=YTo4OntzOjg6ImluX3N0b2NrIjtpOjA7czoxMjoiY2F0ZWdvcnlfaWRzIjthOjE6e2k6MDtzOjM6IjU5NyI7fXM6MTY6ImNhdGVnb3J5X3JlY3Vyc2UiO2I6MTtzOjg6ImtleXdvcmRzIjtzOjA6IiI7czo5OiJicmFuZF9pZHMiO047czo0OiJtb2RlIjtzOjM6ImFsbCI7czo0OiJzb3J0IjtzOjk6InByaWNlX2FzYyI7czoxMDoiY291bnRyeV9pZCI7czoxOiIxIjt9 TMS is a French brand available through FXN, the Silex is steel, I’ve always loved the feel of steel frames coming from a bmx background:
  10. Rotor size to an extent is personal preference, I went for 180mm as that’s what I was advised to get. It’s a TMS Silex 24 I’m riding. This is the organic pads: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192691578886
  11. Welcome back I recently did the same myself and loving it! The bike looks very nice, all depends on your budget, I went for an Avid BB7 with organic pads and it's been great for me. Other member may recommend Hope, Magura's or Hayes, you might be lucky in the sales section.
  12. I'm planning to head to this years event on June 11th which will be my first ever comp. Can you camp onsite or can anyone recommend accommodation nearby? I will be travelling down from Aberdeen so would prefer to travel down the day before the event. I will be using my TMS Silex 24 street trials bike, if I enjoy the experience, I'll look into a dedicated comp bike for next year
  13. Looking good so far, those bottom bracket cups look very nicely machined. Do you know the geo of the frame? I looked at these frames years ago.
