Hi, Got to Plymouth university on Saturday and have bought my bike but yet to ride it. I would appreciate if someone could show me around good spots etc. Also looking for someone regular to ride with as it would be awful boring on my own. Thanks Nick

Mines around a similar size. But just found out the halls I'm staying in has indoor bike storage so depending on how safe it is I will just put it in there.

Just got my set through today. Only fitted the rear brake as of yet, but it feels solid! and with the standard oil bled. Can also feel a lot more power compared to my 05 with a two finger lever. Think I will really like these and there's no more need to water bleed meaning lower maintenance. Overall so far these are great!

f**k I'm stumped on what the hell it is.

Could a loose chain be causing the sound though? Or is it likely worn teeth on the freewheel/sprocket?

Yeah I've got the rockman snail cams which have quite big notches.but yeah serrated washers should help. Cheers mark

No it's a rockman aurem frame with snail cams. But yeah the echo tensioners are really good

Took the bb off last week greased and cleaned all the threads and put it back in so it's all tight. Greased the cranks and pedals and everything. But today when I first put my wheel back on the chain was tight and it stopped doing it. So I guess it must be the chain. But my chain comes loose almost straight away.

Haha. I'm pretty sure it's not the bb as it feels as smooth as anything when the cranks are off. I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the chain skipping off the sprocket/freewheel. But the reason why I revived this thread is because it seems to be exactly the same problem. As in I can't feel it when pedal kicking and stuff like that just when normal cycling. But it's totally rideable(I think!) so I'll just have to live with it.

Sorry for the mahoosive bump. Mark I have the same problem as you had. When I put pressure on the cranks it clicks and clunks like hell. Did changing your freewheel sort it for good? Or did it come back? But yeah sorry for reviving this ancient thread

Good luck sam! It's not as bad as you think it is gonna be! Had mine last week and although your nervous before it starts when your driving you forget about it!

Hope were meant to have posted my brakes back to me so I would have them Friday. There still not here and I doubt if they have even posted them. A little bit annoyed but oh well
