  1. Thanks, I was looking at changing to a disc at the same time as changing the wheel so will keep my eye out for a non ground rim. Don't have any second hand decent disc setups?
  2. Nice, 24"? What nic? Is it just the rim? How much? Cheers sam
  3. I've got a 36 spoke hope pro 2 hub I would like to use if I can, but need a 24" rim to lace it to. All the 24" rims/wheels on Tarty Bikes seem to be 32h, anybody got any suggestions that would work for street trials? I found the Stolen Bikes co rampage rims on Chain reactions which looked decent, but seem to be out of stock everywhere including Stolen Bikes co website. £40 max budget. Cheers
  4. Struggle with skinny's but nearly one timed this one without the camera on, so decided to stick the camera on and get it next time, and then....
  5. Ok cheers mate, haven't been on here for a while and seems to have gone a bit quiet!
  6. I'm based in Newquay which seems to have a couple of good street spots and the beaches can be good for more natural stuff. Just checking in to see who's about?
  7. At the age of 51 my Dad began riding motorbike trials. He Hadn't ridden a motorbike in over 20 years so inevitably he was a bit rusty and often came home with a scratch or a bruise. However now he's a competent novice rider and loves riding his bike more than ever! Age isn't a factor as long as you're enjoying what your doing!
  8. Hi everyone,

my name is Sam, I am 21 and study in Cardiff but my home is North Cornwall. I am currently in the process of converting my Saracen Team Urban frame into a single speed street weapon! My main sport is motorbike trials but i like to get out on my push bike to keep fit, keep my balance in check and just for laughs!

I have plenty of questions to ask, I just hope you h...

  9. Awesome, I like the shopping, list will get some stuff on order. You seem to have the answers to all my questions! Haha. Thanks again.
  10. I am in the middle of sorting my self out a new rear wheel and hub (pro 2) and was just wandering if there is a particular single speed kit that is better than the others? I have had a look on Tarty Bikes and they seem to range between £15 and £30. The more expensive one being the Tensile locking kit. Their blurb says "Innovative new 'locking' design helps spread the force put through your sprocket over a wider area, helping to stop your sprocket digging in to your freehub body!" Is this a big problem. Is it worth paying the extra money for this kit or just go cheap and cheerful? Thanks in advance sam
  11. Just got back from a motorcycle trial near Mortenhampstead devon! Loving my riding at the moment i ride on 10 beta evo 300 4 banger with a straight through pipe awesome roar! i've had a cycle trials bike for ages but its in need in TLC hence joining trials forum for advice. Want to keep my balance in check during the weeks and think cycle trials is the best option especially with the awesome street stuff available in Cardiff. Funny to see people like Gary and Robin on these threads (awesome riders). Looking forward to seeing an ossa soon! sam
  12. HI everyone, this is my first post so here goes. My name is Sam, I live in Cornwall. I ride motorbike trials mainly but live in Cardiff as a student so like to ride a bit of street trials just to keep my balance in. I am currently in the process of sorting out a new rear end set-up as the wheel i am running is too thin for Saracen team Urban frame meaning that more often than not i end up on my arse! Any time I'm not riding i tend to avoid work by watching Danny Macaskill/Toni Bou videos over and over. Will be looking for some advice on what single speed ratios to run in the near future but for now this is about all. Thanks in advance, sam P.s. in relation to my display name my surname is Fack (it's Dutch)
