"not going to name drop but they ride for tarty!" haha don't tell em pike! pritty much narrows down the need to guess which set of riders your refering too lol

compared to most top riders he's hardly arrogant, when i met him he was letting kiddies ride around on his bike and showing them some tricks, positivly promoting the sport, MOST top SPONSORED riders ive met wouldn't give the kids with an interest in trials the time of day.

ryan - did you get the postoffice to put the right amount of postage on the parcel? or did you put stamps on yourself. i was just thinking that if you put the wrong postage on the parcel wont be sent. i expect that the post office did put the right amount on if you have a receipt though, find the receipt and this can sort itself out, if the postoffice have lost it then the insurance on the parcel is probably worth more than the part lol
  7. Mark the one im sending you guys back on monday aint just rattling a little. something inside is locking it up, getting caught up like a loose fragment of metal. I can unlock it manually and then spin it a few times before it locks up again, defo not ridable, anyways ill let you lads have a look in side it. it may be a bit of grit for all i know but i dont wana open the thing before you lads have had a look!
  8. Funny you should mention the SL, im in the process of returning one for tarty to take a look at. mine ran lovely for a month then as with you it trys to engage and makes a crunching sound when coasting along. Point 1 - did you lube it up when you got it? SL comes with no grease, (very important you do this) GT85 all the way! point 2 - did you find any little spots of oxidization on the outer case when you recieved it? point 3 - can you hear anything rattling around inside the freewheel? when i took mine of the bike and shook it i could hear small fragemnts ratling around inside which suggests to me one of the pawls or bearings may have been below standard and failed. I have NOT opened mine up as im sending it bk as a warranty case.
  9. you need to shorten the fixing bolts slightly or alterativly put some washers between the brake clamps and the booster! p.s are you sure there were no spacers with the booster?
  10. i struggle with rolling bunny hops. can do static ones fine, probly because you dont feel like you'll over rotate, just needs practice.
  11. looks like the older limey 3. doesnt have the extra supports behind the seat post?
  12. better bring sun cream and a sandwich to this one!
  13. Not trying too be funny but just incase, you were turning the wheel anti clockwise to remove the sprocket? + a harsh jerking motion is best for crasking the seal. if the chain pulls out of the vice you need it tighter.
  14. Shame you only had the later pro sessions in that time laps i was hoping to see myself in the first amateur session
  15. I use the longer version of the carbon downtube protector on my limey 3 stock. i have to use bits of folded innertube at the bb end as padding and then strap the protector to the frame with either cable ties or electric tape (tape is better)dont look the best but works great. im sure you can do something similar with the shorter protector on the mod version.
