  1. Mine sounded a tad different with no backbox.... only revved it to 5ish aswell https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox50MABIrII
  2. So I've added this to the s2k, ...more outrageous parts to come later in the year
  3. I would love to do a k20/k24 swap, me and my dad may be building an engine soon. but this being my daily I can't have it off the road too long.
  4. Only reason I still come here from time to time is this thread. good stuff as usual! Went to a meet a few weeks back and someone who can use a camera took this of mine: I wish it was faster though, only real option is a supercharger or turbo, its already highly strung motor n/a and getting more out of it n/a is very expensive, though so is going FI, but big numbers are possible with stock internals Got this week off work so I will be changing the engine/gbox/diff oils, spark plugs and carrying out valve adjustment. Grease up the brake caliper sliders, paint the rocker cover in grey and some touch ups to paint in the engine bay.
  5. Standard car isn't noisy has the normal Honda squeaks and rattles lol, on standard suspension the s2k was a bit crashy, didn't take the bumps well and had pretty bad rear bump steer due to the crap rear toe arm design, I didn't have a lot of confidence in the car, it felt like if the back end were to break you would be facing the other way a split second later. A lot of the suspension issues were mostly corrected in the facelift. The civic is far safer and easier to drive, fwd and having a lsd(that I fitted) means you can put the power down so early in a corner without being afraid of spinning out. Though driving the S is far more satisfying and fun for me, 10x better than my civic! and with the current mods is silly in the corners, better than the civic now, I just need to learn to be a better driver. At some point I will be getting a hardtop
  6. Insane, couldn't ever imagine driving that quick!
  7. The s2k as it stands now, only had it a few months now. Coilovers, rear toe arms, steering rack spacers, 17x9 +45 rpf1's in sbc coating wrapped in Federal RS-R's and a Invidia exhaust. Handling is pretty epic now, no more rear end bump steer or twitchyness, the rear end is very progressive and controllable, love it!
  8. Picking this up on Saturday, 2001, 2 previous owners, fsh 49100miles and a skunk2 catback which is loud!
  9. Ah ok, everything seems to be overly expensive for my car, they cost 130+ new for one set on mine and not alot kicking around 2nd hand
  10. Thanks for the informative post, would of been made better without the first line though. As stated, I've never used them and it was just from what I've heard. Is it worth spending money on these pads if its only on a roadcar though?
  11. 20mm hubcentric spacers arnt cheap, spigots merly make sure everything sits relatively true, your studs and nuts keeps your wheels secure. I personally don't see an issue, everything will sit snug. I've not used ds2500's, but people say they need a little bit of warming up, probably best going for a cheaper option if its a daily and never track driven
  12. I'm bored so sharing another one of these I did a few weeks back, need to set up launch control, cold weather and lots of wheel spin... launching in fwd sucks... plus I suck at launching before anyone says
  13. If you can find the right spigots on ebay I dont see why not.
  14. ; Sure that isn't 224 whp? either that or a very conservative dyno My Tegiwa m (pretty much a gruppe M exact copy for others not in the know) doesnt rattle! though I do have some foam on the underside of the intake.
  15. Mines also a ball bearing type, you'd have to be a right out retard to not lock it in properly
