  1. Yeah, I tried doing that at first, but it didn't seem to be doing anything, and it's freezing outside so didn't wanna stick around in my garage for too long haha, I've got shed loads of spare pipe somewhere, so I'm sure I'll be able to find the right size
  2. Yeah I think that was the problem, just been to look now, took the crown race off the old forks, but I don't have a tool or anything that I can put it on the Inspired's with, which is annoying, so I'll probably fashion some form of tool out of old piping tomorrow, I'd do it now, but it's freezing outside, and I would quite like to keep my hands cheers for the help guys
  3. So I bought some new Forks the other month off someone on the Forums, I think he said they were Inspired Maguras? They're good forks, they're light and they're straight so they're what I was after, but they wobble to shit, and at first I thought it was because I needed a bigger headset spacer, but I've just fitted one and they still wobble, the up and down wobble has gone, but they still wobble side to side and forwards and backwards a bit. So basically I need a fix to the problem, I've got a 2010 model Onza Zoot, and as far as I know it's still got the stock headset in it, with the stock bearings, so I'm not sure if it's just because the bearings have worn down so much that's what's creating the wobble, or because the dimensions are completely different to that of the forks, was wondering if anyone knew which of those it'd be? I'm thinking it's more the dimensions are different, because there's a good 3-4mm of wobble, and I can't see the bearings been worn down that much, when the rest of the bike is fine and didn't have a single scratch or dent when I bought it Cheers guys Will
  4. Anyone up for a ride in Doncaster on either the 28th/29th or the 6th/7th, depends really when I can get my parts sorted, waiting on a tyre and chain at the minute Meet at the train station around 1230/1300? Dependent on which day is best for most people
  5. I'm going to murder everyone I ride with. They're all assholes. I'm in uni, and all of last week I was really busy with work, so I didn't get to ride at all, I manage to go out tonight, the whole crews out in force and it's awesome(we're riding BMX not trials), but then after about 10 minutes at the first spot, everyone decides they're too f**king cold so they all go in. It's the first night in like 2 weeks where it's been genuinely warm! So they all f**k off inside, but I decide I'm gonna keep riding because it's the first time I've had chance in ages. Then after about 30 minutes riding on my own, I manage to roll my ankle. Hurray. So now I've got to ride home on one foot, and it's a good 2/3 miles up and down hills. I get home, I've now been home for a fair while, and all the dickheads decide they want to go out and ride again! Except I physically can't, and now they're all moaning about how I'm never out riding. BUT THEY'RE THE ONES WHO WENT IN EARLIER WHEN I WAS STILL RIDING! On top of that I had shit day at uni, my first lecturer showed up for like an hour then f**ked off and we had no idea if they were coming back or not, so we all just sat about for 2 hours, doing nothing. Then had a workshop where I had to resubmit an essay because for some reason the online submission form didn't work, so now my assignments 4 days late, so I'm gonna get a certain percentage of my marks knocked off, unless I can prove I submitted it on time. (Which I think I can, but it's still a massive ball ache that I even have to) And the workshop I had after that I didn't even need to be there, because all it was, was transferring footage from one computer to another so that we could make an edit. Footage that I initially filmed most of, so I already had all the footage I was going to use! Tuesdays can f**k right off, they're always shit.
  6. Managed to snap two chains today. Which in case you didn't know, is the most excruciatingly painful and terrifying experience in the world

Managed to not faceplant, was bombing it, trying to clear a grass bank, so I had a nice soft landing, chain whipped me up the back of my leg though, which wasn't nice, and sort of flopped over my bars. I imagine it looked hilarious, it just wasn't when I did it haha

  7. I've decided to abandon the idea of brakes for now after realising that my new forks don't actually have disc mounts on them, haha. So I'm currently in the middle of building a brakeless street set up out of a 2012 Onza Zoot, I've just got some new straight forks, and it's made a massive difference to how easy it is to lift the front, it's almost doubled my hop height, and I can manual for what feels like forever haha. But I know I can make the front end even higher and easier to lift, by changing both my stem and my bars. At the minute I can only afford one or the other (#StudentLyfIsHardLyf) and I'm praying the stem is going to make more difference as it's cheaper haha, but I have a feeling it won't be. I'm planning on getting a BBB Forged 70mm Stem and either Da Bomb Tactics or Inspired Arcade bars. If it's the bars that are going to make the most difference then I want them as soon as possible, so I'll probably end up getting the Da Bomb tactics because they're cheaper than the Inspired's. I think I already know the answer to the question, and I'm assuming it's the bars that are going to make more difference, but I just thought I'd swing the question by you guys first anyway, just incase I'm wrong, and the stem is either going to make a bigger difference, or the same amount of difference. Any other advice on what I can do to make an epic street set up is also massively appreciated, my set up at the minute is basically just a standard Zoot set up apart from the forks Cheers guys
  8. So I'm in Cardiff this weekend (Friday until Monday evening) visiting a friend at uni, but she's got lectures on the Monday until 4, and my train doesn't leave until 1850, so I've decided to take my bike down so I can ride on the Monday, until she's finished uni. It'll be my BMX I'm taking down though, due to me needing a headset spacer for my Trials bike. Anyone know any decent spots/parks in Cardiff, or anyone willing to come ride while I'm there? Cheers guys Will
  9. I've already got a lever and a cable, sorry, should have made that clear, they're not exactly the best, but I mainly ride brakeless and intend to keep riding brakeless more than standard trials anyway, it's just nice to have the option to ride both
  10. Ah okay, sweet, student life is cheap life lmao, gotta take what I can get xD
  11. Hey man, I'd definitely buy it, but I'm mega skint atm, so looking for something a tad cheaper than that Is the BB5 a lot worse? Cos I'm skint and could do with getting something a little cheaper than the BB7, as I'm after a set of bars as well
  12. So, I'm riding brakeless currently, and I'm having a lot of fun with it, but standard trials is starting to take my fancy as well, and there's some moves I want to do that are only possible with a brake. So I'm looking for a cheap disc to whack on the front, and I'm gonna throw my HS33 on the back Any suggestions as to a decent brake? Cheers guys
  13. Ahh damn, only just seen this or I would have done, I'll definitely be there for next one
