  1. I live in Scunthorpe not many left here but there is a few in Doncaster as well so as soon as the weather picks up there hopefully will be regular group rides.
  2. Trials in the UK has slowly been dying these past few years. It does not seem to be as big compared to what it was 10 years ago I haven't rode my bike since October then before that it was August. Had loads of riders quit not just local but in surrounding areas which is sad i enjoy the group vibe. I still live for Radfest and any other big trials event. I find 2013 was the best year for trials went on a fair few group rides with big turn outs. The Doncaster one in March 2013 where there was nearly 20 riders that got together all from different areas. Was a bloody good ride that day! Followed by a few Hull rides too. I thought the numbers for Radfest in 2015 was a little bit low compared to the other years i attended but i still enjoyed my weekend there. 2014 TartyDays was a brilliant weekend followed by Radfest. I even forgot to mention about the BikeTrial event in Sheffield city centre organised by some university students that was another good day for Trials with 60 riders from all over in one square. Social media seems to be playing a massive part on why this forum is quiet i have noticed the activity on here has been very low this past year. Now'a days to organise a ride you can do it through text, whatsapp, Facebook etc etc. Organising group rides on a forum now is slowly becoming a thing of the past. Over the years of riding and been on the scene since 2003 i can say i have seen many riders come and go. When people sell their bike when are done with it i still decide to keep mine knowing i will always be back out on it (I don't dare sell it ). And again as each year goes on more people appear for the summer season then disappear seems to be a rotating cycle. I seem to keep calm and try carry on lol. Anyway lets see what 2016 seems to bring i also do quite a lot of road riding and mtbing while not riding trials. I can organise a road or mtb ride and there will be 10-20 riders turn up. If only Trials was like that am just hoping the younger generation will bring it back alive so it does not permanently die. I have met many riders over the years through trials some who i have made good friendships that i still talk to. Would be good to get a group ride organised when the weather picks up at a central location for anyone who still rides up the North. Andy
  3. I find it virtually impossible to ride in jeans too much restriction and a lot of chafe. Tracksuit bottoms, joggers, shorts, or shorts and leggings work best for me.
  4. Rubber expands and stretches. 26" can fit in 29". 26" can fold into a 20" wheel etc etc. I bang any 26" in my 2.5 rear majority of the time its cheap tubes that have a 2.25 max width but still hold.
  5. Wait until they discover women and beer!
  6. I can see this being good and lame at the same time. Good: 1. clearance for obstacles for the BIU/UCI boys whatever it is who has that rule just to please Ross Mcarthur. (Don't really follow the rules just go by what i have heard and seen from various sources etc.) Lame: 1. Looks completely stupid as am not sure what is worse having a bicycle without a seat or having a bicycle without a seat and bent cranks which just tops it off. 2. Look at all the comp riders going years back and todays current riders . They can achieve their riding style with standard cranks what benefit of the difference are they going to get 3. Why on earth did they even think of this? Credit to the CrossBow guys for thinking of it interesting to see how it takes off and whether other manufacturers will follow as with any other trials product.
  7. Yup Carthy is deffo on Breath bars if you can notice it in a lot of pics/videos. Amazing riding from all 3 of them!Nico is seriously improving loads! Love watching all 3 of them go for moves then jack makes it look effortless. But its odd because seen as though carthy started the rolled bar trend he has now brought his back... so has gilles and dave kerr "awaits for every rider to roll bars back "
  8. Ahhhhh! I've never looked at any others lol. I just remember changing from Mongos and FSA pigs to a king and noticing that few mm difference.
  9. Chris King are quite a low stack
  10. So after 1x set breaking they decide to do a product recall? :/
  11. Rode some rocks by the humber bridge yesterday morning really enjoying the ride until 30 minutes in i snapped my forks! . Good job the GoPro was filming this and that my brake hose didn't rip out lol! Totally was not expecting this and i suppose i got off lightly as it could of been a lot worse if i was doing something different. Anyway so straight onto TartyBikes this morning and am gonna try out the B1K3 Eklipse forks.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzPH8VW8buE&feature=share
