  1. This is a bit old few new parts on but good idea of main body colour and setup
  2. Guys my Planet X alibongo was nicked from my house in Coventry area last night any info or help please contact me
  3. Ur a star and yes they have got everything I need basically I was trying to say my frame has built in magura mounts on the rear but not front forks but my rear booster is too narrow to fit across plus the front hole on the booster is too small too and I didn't know how to mount them but I've just seen on tarty I think what is exactly what I need so nice 1 and wish me luck with my guess work from here!!
  4. Hi guys ok well after a few months ago buying a duff or possibly fake giant trials bike, I have recently sacked off that idea and purchased a retro Planet X I believe it's a zebdi of some description but not sure what year or model it has a bent seat tube on this model.... Anyway I'm building it up as we speak, but recently purchased a set of approx late 90s to 2000s HS33 with the external red adjuster knob type but don't have a clue how to install the fronts as the boosters don't fit over the v brake fork mounts do I have to get the evo plate onto my v brakes or can I use the originals and drill out slightly or do I need the evo adapter kit and if so what do I actually need? All the info I keep finding is on the newer 2005 models.finally also on the rear it's standard with magura mounting points do I literally use the existing mounts that came standard with magura direct onto the frame mounts and if so any recommended bolt sizes to suit as I have none with my brakes pictures would be great I'm a very visual mechanic!!!!
  5. Ok cool cheers for advice I think a new set of forks is now inline to save the ball ache of this shit plus I can get some lightweight ones that way
  6. Sorry the diameter at the top of the fork is 1" wide and the head tube is 1 1/8" so it's all floppy
  7. One bit of advice I could do with help on is my forks they are a 1" tube with around a 2" thread at the top the rest is thread less but the steer tube is 1 1/8 thread less , Can I use a standard headset with an adaptor sleeve or something in order to Woden the top of the fork to a standard diameter in order to use a normal stem instead of a shitty old threaded one?
  8. Yeah they're definately steel and I agree I have scrolled for hours and found similar giants but minor details change my mind the one distinctive difference I see from mine to all the others is under where the seat post goes there is a brake cable fastener or tube to sleeve into whereas it's nowhere to be found online! Hey it's lighter than my old saracen mad that some tramp politely nicked and looks cooler than the gt chucker I had stolen too so it'll keep me happy enough as I haven't rode or for that matter done any trials for nearly 10 years!! Hey it's unique I'll just convince myself it's a ore historic one off oldskoolbike!! Cheers for the research anyway!!
  9. This is very true the only reason I wanted to know was to get an idea what it was equipped with originally if at all and roughly what era!
  10. Ok guys after close inspection I can barely read it but think I've found a frame number stamped into the bottom bracket area on frame it reads C28A5625 does this loon like a giant number or not???
  11. https://instagram.com/p/26UC_uTQy5/ it's on Instagram here
  12. I will do I think I need to get my post approved first it won't upload is it because I'm new??
  13. I have a giant frame I've purchased recently and not got a clue what model it is! Can anyone help?
