  1. Well I am sorry if this thread upset people, but the tit for tat back chat needed to be addressed. All I wanted was the reason why Tyke had allegedly wrapped up? There obviously is no definitive answer! I apologise to Robin first of all if my thoughts were in your eye's offside..Your judgement must be right because Adam wouldn't be where he is now without good coaching and judgment. Barbara you don't need this and I hope you and your grand daughters eat a lot of ice cream and love every minute you have together. Kevind keep up the great work, you spoke genuinely and come across as a straightforward, no messing bloke but you are Scottish so I would expect no less. We plan next year to enter a few of your trials and I look forward to chatting with you.
  2. Well Barbara you said it all there so perfectly and with so much humility. I met you the first time around 2000 when you had clean bikes and we were talking about the place we were stood I.e Addingham moor rock!s. The shit with the hunt dog's and the politician and DEFRA..but mainly the politician that had it in for the trials fraternity motors or pedal power in and around Silsden..your argument back then was clear. The next time we spoke was at your house in 2004 when I bought from yourself a 205 and you invited me in to your house on the hill. It was like going back home, so warm with various smoke and I can't put it into words but it just felt like home! Now for a little rant!! You have spent a lot of money on that nice van and this year I too went the whole hog and spent circa £15000 to accommodate the full Tyke trials season to be told it had collapsed after one weekend. Yes there were a few that took the piss very literally the night before (Ackelrly's) and also the thing with Adam getting hurt on the first section and PUSHED to carry on when a bit of loveing and hugs plus a medic might have been the order of the day? But hey ho who am I to judge other people, at the end of the day I am nobody compared to people on here! If a new direction is needed with new enthusiasm I will give it a go Barbara but top and bottom of it is..if another 9 come in to help at Brimham we still need you!
  3. To be honest you have come to the conclusion even though by your own admission that you haven't been in the comp game for years that Robin and Adam are the ones here to be blamed but your not even close to what has happened. That with Jack C is a different story to what has recently happened altogether. Now I know who and why are part of the disagreement now and if you read correctly between the lines or asked about you may get the correct story. But I am not going to discuss this any further.
  4. Look! My lad wouldn't gain any benefit from been in anyone's camp as he does this just for fun and is nowhere near the top end riders. It was just that when Tim gave a speech at the last round at Ackerly's he basically gave an unveiled quote that the club needs help and looking all but resigned to the fact that it was over. He actually seemed to give a rat's ass. When my lad said Barbara had finished with the club yesterday i went and saw one of the club members who has very close ties with the Tyke organisers . I asked him who is going to run the club? His answer was.. you if you want it! He went through what the score was and more or less said what other's on here are saying.
  5. Mark W. I would be interested to know if you have attended any trials up here at Tyke ever but more importantly recently? Kevin is reading from the same page up in Scotland so there has to be some truth in what is being said. Just going back a few year's ago the turn out was huge but myself I can't put a finger on why the numbers have gone from hero to zero so quickly. Top and bottom of it in my opinion without any politics is that at the core of the local club was Barbara who did a fantastic job. I just feel that the other 3 organisers have too much on their plates with their very talented kids which are in the Brits,Euro's and world rounds so basically the little club comes a lowly fourth. Yes your right about the he said and she say's brigade because they certainly are about but are totally unwilling to put forward their views or offer any kind of help at any level.
  6. Yes I see your point with Jack C at Tyke and I know for fact that people didn't like his domination and everybody knew that the Tyke organiser's had an hidden agenda when it came to him. Click's within click's appears to be the norm now but thankfully I will never swing that way. For me Tim McParland appears to be a good bloke with good contacts and a great working knowledge of the sport. For me, I would like to see him have a good crack at it. One thing is for sure I would be more than willing to help out with the workings. As for the Ackerlys trial! Well that is some amazing stuff in his back yard.
  7. Yes that all makes sense as the talk is about just doing the British and Belgium rounds next year. Unfortunately not everybody has a budget large enough to do both of these events so if the local trials do end this would be sad as there is no longer a grassroots club to learn your trade at. Fingers crossed for this to sort itself out but I better not hold my breath!
  8. Thank's for the update. I can't wait for a look at these. Any idea of price on frame and fork set up?
  9. Barbara has being attending the Tyke trial event's but in what capacity I'm unsure. Kerry Seymour has been running the club but it is said that the Seymour's, Tim McParland and Robin Morewood are all pulling in different directions. Allegedly Robin is wanting to kind of tie it in with a Motorcycle trial club in Derbyshire but this is all hearsay. This is all I know but a bit of clarity on the future would be nice as opposed to the deadly silence coming from the Tyke trial web page.
  10. Just found out that Tyke trial up at Brimham rock's is now a total no go. I'm also hearing that Barbara is stepping down from the club and that all future events are a very big doubt. I tried to get some clear views on this but it would appear that the other organiser's seem to be stuck as to what the future is going to be. As the person described this to me as politics and clearly knew the score he was unwilling to divulge on the said politics! Can anybody shine a light on what's going on?
  11. Right people, I am desperately seeking somewhere that sells the Crossbow 20". Anybody have one? Or does anybody know where in Europe I can purchase the frame for a one off build or maybe a full bike.
  12. if only I practice 24/7 I might just get 1/8 th as good...wow!
  13. Right lads I have a problem with the new Hope Trial Zone rear brake. First of all it seam's to have a lot of travel before any sort of bite. Then the pads slip under minor stress which to say the least I am 11 and only six stone. Now we first tried burping the lever and got a short time result and then so totally re-bled the whole system. Yep the lever feels better but still some slip. Now one of the Tyke lads said go Jitsie pads cos they are better than Hope? I don't know how he knows this as he has only ever being on rim brakes? Please give me help it's a Hope trial zone on a 2015 Monty 221k pro.
  14. A good place for motor bikes without any hassle is Millhouse green Quarry at Penistone. Plus it's free.
