  1. I did of course contact the shop first, but response times are faster here . Thanks for taking a look!
  2. I got in contact with the shop and they told me to send them back and I'll get a replacement, yay!
  3. As my old handle bars have had their fair share of crashes and although looking like new, I thought better safe than sorry and ordered myself new ones. I just received them and did spot a scratch and a dent/flat spot on the right rising side of them. The left side does not have this flattened area and my old bars (same Arcade Riser, 3 years old) do not have this issue and look just a tiny bit different at these sections. Maybe it's a new version by Inspired or a different build process, but I'm not confident that I can trust them 100%. Could you guys take a look at the attached images and give me a hint on whether they are to be trusted or not? Thanks!
  4. Yeah that's what was happening for me. I'm doing it exactly like this. I fixed a new chainring the other day and switched to a new chain as well. I "trained" to break a chain without breaking that little lip a few times, by making extra sure that chain tool is exactly centered on the pin and pushing it out super slow. This way I managed to fit the new chain in a way that I'm confident it will not give up on me. So thanks a lot for your help and comments!
  5. Hi, thanks for your reply. Hmm, I tried to break the offcut of the chain a few times, but never managed to get the pin out without that shard getting broken off. Tried it with two different chain tools as well. So if it's not happening for you, I think I'll probably resort to using the split link instead of reusing the pin, as I'm clearly doing something wrong. Not feeling too good about the split link though, as everyone says not to use them for trails use. Thanks!
  6. Hi everyone, I did replace my chain (proven kmc Z1EHX) again yesterday and just keep wondering if reusing the pin that I pushed out to get the correct chain length is really ok. When I break the chain, there is always a little shard/splinter that breaks off of the one end of the pin that I push through. Joining the chain works fine and luckily I never had any issues with the chains. But that shard just makes me feel a little uneasy :-). Looking forward to your opinions on this matter! Thanks, Martin
  7. I've already made it a routine to check all bolts on my bike before most rides. They seem to have settled in quite well over the time though . So I'll continue keeping an eye on the adapters as well. Thanks for your assessments!
  8. Hi, I was wondering if replacing the adapters from time to time is a good idea or a waste of money? I did break a Magura adapter once and have been happily running the same set of Hope adapters since then with no obvious signs of wear. Since replacing the chain regularly is common knowledge, the adapters seem to be another crucial part for your safety . What do you guys think?
