STC Posted March 15, 2008 Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 The 04 were realy bad for the tpa everyone has broke themyou need a new tpa or to just a buy a whole blade you could use the bodge bolt trick like has been sugested but just see if anyone has a whole blade cheep on hear sure they will! good luck! Posted March 16, 2008 Report Share Posted March 16, 2008 I don't know what's up with the tpa, usually when you brake them they stop working altogether.But anyway, even magura say the tpa is just suposed used for fine ajusting, and shouldn't be used to move the pads closer to the rim.What i would do is loose the tpa and just stick a bolt in there. It's very easy to do, and you really get to know how the whole tpa system works, you might even get more ajustment if you have a bolt in there too, the tpa will just adventually brake anyway.Also, you could try over bleeding them, there's loads of other bodges out there too, like the double pad one. A tpa is only for temporary adjustments so the brake can be reset up when you have finnished a ride. My suggestion to you is get some new pads!
