Kevin Minato Posted March 22, 2008 Report Share Posted March 22, 2008 Alright, so I could not find a freewheel removing tool at any of my local bike shops so i made my own.and it actually worked.How To buildSuppliesa) A solid strong piece of woodb ) 4 long screwsc) 1 Hanger Boltd)Drille)Penf) rulerHow to builda)make a perfect X on your wood with a penb ) measure the diameter of your freewheels slotsc) divide that number by 2 d) take that length and measure out from the center of the center of the X on all sidese) drill holes at those pointsf) screw your holes into the drilled sectionsg) now drill the hanger bold into the center of the Xh) now test to see if your freewheel fits on your homemade freewheel removeri) if your screw heads are too big to fit in your freewheel slots just file them down a tiny bitYour final product should look like thisNow to usebolt your freewheel on to Homemade Freewheel removing tooland now turn your crank anti-clockwiseMAKE SURE YOU USE STRONG WOOD OR THIS WILL HAPEN Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Muel Posted March 23, 2008 Report Share Posted March 23, 2008 I was planning on making a similar thing out of steel, but I only deal with Tensiles now, that's all me and my brother have.I was going to make an X shaped thing out of steel with a hole to bolt it in with, but I needed some 10mm+ steel and I never got round to getting any.
