chinese pedals on ebay

Recommended Posts

They look vile, I'm sure most would agree with me. Have you considered wellgos?

Echo tr platforms are really light and comfortable, I had mine for a year (they were second hand) but I've started doing bigger stuff and don't trust them as much. I use superstar platforms now and they feel really solid, £45 I think they were. 440g so a bit weighty but feel solid.

But yeah if your budget is maxed at 30 then you won't go wrong getting wellgos, you could get some second hand pedals on here too.

I'm glad of the advice, is it just the looks though? I'm a bit eccentric so they kinda suit :D

* Do you think they'd be man enough, I mean can you get ti axle pedals for that money or are they fake?

In the early to mid nineties well go were absolute pants, I'm assuming by the recommendation that they stepped up their game since then, but ive still got a negative on them..

I could wallop my crupi pedals on from my bmx for a while and increase my budget.

...Still I do like those pedals, and their sooo cheap...

*If I had say a budget of 50ish what else could I get that are light ,obscure and interesting? (As that's kinda my bag)

Dunno about you but the fact the pedals are quite small puts me off, it's 8 quid and has a titanium axle, and 3 weeks waiting would annoy me. Also if that weight is true, at 199g all I'm thinking is snap.

But if you like it get it.

If you could afford to take a gamble on them then maybe. Personally I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot chop stick, they'll either not arrive, fall apart, snap, not actually be Ti or all of the above. If a deal seems too good to be true then it usually is, especially if it's from China.

Just realised that if they don't arrive they can't snap. Doh!

I'm quite sure they're not Ti. Chinese products are always made of cheap materials. Trust me, I've seen enough Chinese product to know.

I'd save yourself the hassle and go with a, obviously more expensive, long term solution and get yourself a decent set.

It wouldn't be a gamble with money, it'd be with safety! I thought it could be too good to be true, and it probably is!!

That why I ran them by y'all

But im such a perv I still like them though. However I won't buy 'em.

Thanx for the input :D

Ten ft chop stick. hehe

You may like these pedals? I have been riding my pair for about 2 years now so they are defiantly strong enough for trials :) Last time i checked i weighed just under 15 stone - http://www.evanscycles.com/products/specialized/lo-pro-mag-2-pedals-ec007454?utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=froogle&utm_campaign=froogle&utm_content=mkwid__pcrid_19178765816_kword__match__plid_

So, as sad as I am, I've been looking for pedals all day and I've narrowed it down to ten sets that i think kick ass!

I cant decide which to get, i could buy any!?

(Well its actually eleven but one set is the elephant in the room see if you can guess which.)

Erm, nothing. But why climb mountains? That and I'm a rite w*nker ;)

I just love weird sh!t, novelty value I guess. Also let's face it I'm most likely not going to be as good as most of you so i wont need the same level of equiptment, at least not while I'm a learner. I came to trials as a 35year old ex bmx'er who's looking to re-live his youth. I think its more important to have fun than take myself too seriously, so why not??

*photo bucket won't let me in!! I will post pics asap
