Been doing a bit of reading about this, and it sounds dammed terrifying. has anyone had an experience with this subject?.

if so did you feel the pressing on your chest, and the "demon" watching you?

i remember years ago, fatmike posted a link to a piece of audio that sort of put you in to a rem sleep in an attempt to bring you to climax(it was awesome) im pretty confident it was a form of sleep paralysis.

I wanted to know the full definition of it so I googled and f**king YES!!

I had it for the first time last week. It was f**king horrendous. And it lasted for around 30 seconds but felt like an eternity.

I thought someone was in my room and wanted to get up and escape but something was holding me down and couldn't physically move despite trying so hard.

The best way to describe it is, like going on a rollercoaster or going over a big bump whilst driving and you can feel the g-force holding you down?

I just felt like something really really bad was in the room with me I know it sounds ridiculous haha. I couldn't sleep for ages after so whatsapped my mate about it ha

Edit: From wikipedia and completely coincides with my OP

Many people that experience sleep paralysis are struck with a deep sense of terror, because they sense a menacing presence in the room while paralyzed—hereafter referred to as the intruder.
More specifically, the emergency response activates in the brain when individuals wake up paralyzed and feel vulnerable to attack

had this a few times and its f**king awful!, all i could do was see and hear, couldn't blink make any noise no control over your breathing pattern (was panicking in my head like a panic attack) all while feeling like i was being sucked down rather than sat on. having a lack of control over anything makes you mega paranoid...the daemon or old hag sat on you is supposedly a way of your brain trying to rationalize whats going on through a hallucination iirc.

i only read up on it after having it, something to do with the way you wake up like your brain is awake and all your body/motor functions are banging zzzzz out still or something along those lines

I had this really bad once last year, I woke up suddenly and could feel something wasn't right.

I was lying on my back, arms side by side and this dark shadow in the shape of a person started slowly moving towards me from the top of the landing through my door and next to my bed. this felt like the span of an hour or so. I tried to move but it felt like dan said, an over whelming g force. it feels scary real and you cant do anything about it.

only way I got out of it was just closing my eyes and sort of 'sending the vibes out there' to the entity it wasn't welcome?? woke up fully after this literally dripping in sweat and a bit confused

another common one I have experienced is the same paralyzed state but with some kind of goblin figure on your chest either sitting on you or jumping and just doing the average goblin shit idk something like that

Its an interesting phenomenon seeing as there are so many of people reporting the same thing, something to think about ay.

Something I've read a lot about after a mate was talking about it some years ago, and the very thought of it terrifies me!

Although I used to have a lot of very vivid nightmares as a kid where I saw some wild shit in my room and couldn't do anything about it, similar thing perhaps?

I get this shit literally all the time, along with horrendous sleep apnea.

I first started getting it when I worked shift work at the pub, and working a full day job. Because I would regularly literally fall asleep through exhaustion and then sleep very deeply for short periods of time it f**ked me up.

I did a "sleep test" to try and sort it out and ended up only actually breathing for 26 seconds out of 60.

Over a full nights sleep that's a shit load of missed oxygen, which is what triggers my sleep paralysis.

Demon in your chest, mega lol...

I used to get something similar as a kid, there was no demons or anything, but it would be like I was awake, and everything in the room was getting bigger, it’s hard to explain, but like my perspective was being stretched, but at the same time like I was a giant in a tiny room. But I couldn’t move to get out of it. Somebody said ages back it was called the ‘Sinks’.

I think I know exactly what you mean!!!!! oh my god you're the first person to have explained a similar phenomena.

But for me its the room but some bubbles of fat are involved and the balloons get bigger and bigger and squash me in the this room. Usually get it when i'm ill.

I get this ^ and the paralysis sometimes. As above, I feel really tiny in an enormous room of some sort, pressed into the corner, often like my vision is zooming into another corner.

I had a paralysis the other day where I could see a spider on my bed sheets. It was big, but just sat there chillin', and I tried to move it away, but my arms and legs where completely locked into place. Whether or not the spider was there or not, I will never no.

Pretty damn weird.

I get them quite regularly, no demons or anything like that. I try and talk, but can only get out uuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr but I'm pretty sure I don't actually make a sound and the noise is just inside my head.

This shit is real. I have experienced it when I was in Ukraine last summer. Well, it's pretty fun when you know about it, but first time you might think that you're gone crazy. I awoke in the night and realized that something was wrong: I was absolutely unable to do a single move and I felt that someone standing (not a human) next to me. It's standing near you and you want to run, you want to shout, but you cant even move your head. It's like a nightmare in reality. You KNOW that you're not sleeping and all this shit happening. That's why this is so scary. Loads of adrenaline and thrill guaranteed.

I've never found anything about the 'sinks' either, it was just what some auld wifey at work said a few year back. I was a bit like you and up until that point I'd never met anyone who'd experienced it or knew what I meant, she just casually said, "oh yeah, the sinks, I used to get that".
