Pads for Saint M820

Recommended Posts

Just wondered if anyone had any advice on which pads work well with Saint 820's?

I've had a search through the forums, but most the posts seem to be several years old. What are people currently running?

Cheers guys!

Yeah what Dman said,

I'm a big guy and the brake hold is amazing any weather, They also work well for manuals and feathering the brake in moves.

I also found that because of the paint work on the back of these pads you can't hear any pad rock whatsoever compared to other pads on the market.

just tried some of those, they don't seem as powerful as sintered pads, I just tried Shimano's sintered pads and EBC reds back to back and the Shimano ones were noticeably better.

Very very interesting as I still can't believe that sintered are any better than organic pads. Not that I'm questioning your expertise. How did you bed the sintered in and what rotors are you running?

edit: The EBCs took a while to bed in though. In the beginning I wasn't too fond of those either.

The EBCs were decent, but I was out yesterday and was trying to go to back wheel up something high and it kept on slipping out on me, I find golds have way more bite and more hold.

I bedded them both in by just going out riding and I'm using 200mm Shimano rotors

Hm... I actually can't get my brakes to slip now that they have bedded in (180mm RT66 rotor), if something slips it's the tyre. Then again, I'm not going big...

I just can't believe it as everybody else says that organic pads are better.... On the other hand, the Jitsie for Hope/Echo brakes are sintered as well...

So just for the record. What are the best brake pads for the Saints in your opinion?
