SRAM RS/RSC Guide for Trials?

Well it has the same ugly reservoir I supppse, why so hideous?

I really don't know. The new Saint levers aren't a beauty either. I think Hope wins the beauty contest by far.

What I don't know is whether the Sram brakes, just like the new Saints/Zees, will brake easily. The calipers do look a bit weak.

Also, pad play is an issue (at least for me) when it comes to non Trials specific brakes and I guess that the Sram will be equal to the Saints.

I WANT HOPES WITH SERVO WAVE!

Did a caliper snap? I put bolts with really wide heads in mine, it might make a difference, it might not, but I feel good about it!

New Saint levers don't look horrid, but the M810 is my favourite style of lever.

A caliper? Various. I know of three cases excluding my Zee (same as Saint 820) that broke after a months use. Never heard of 810 calipers braking though so they might be sturdier.

Was sick of my noisy, squealing, pad rocking saints, so here we are

I figured out how to stop pad rock in shimano brakes,, the pad rock was annoying for me. You can either put insulation tape on the pad backings so the pistons "dig in" to the thick tape and therefore the pads don't rock, or what I did is wrap sticky tape around the pad retaining pin before you put it in, so the pin is slightly wider in diameter, meaning the pads can't rock . Not arguing your choice of brake, just some friendly advice :)

Ye tried tape on the pin didn't do much, not tried it on the backings, that wasn't the main issue, they started squealing like a pig, New pads, rotors cleaned, filed paint off mounts, still really noisy, been like that for a while, only used to be noisy when wet but now all the time, as if they are contaminated, but can't see any leaks. Sending them back under warranty see what they say, I really liked the saints.

Aaron Browne is testing one on the front of his hex

M820/m640 have two bolts joining the caliper together. M810's have 4, makes it miles stronger

Everything full New brake set, looking online it can be a number of things

Contamination of pads/rotor

Mounts need facing

Caliper not aligned correctly

One site said a bad bedding in period can cause squeal, if the pad material is Not laid down evenly on the disc.

I'm pissed with brakes.

I'm looking at different pads all I can find for them are these from uber bike http://www.uberbikecomponents.com/category/331/View-all-Avid-SRAM-Disc-Brake-Pads-here

What compound would you recommend from what they offer?

Kevlar

Sintered

Semi metallic
