Just wondering really but I have a hope pro 2 evolution 40t hub with 40ep, is there any way to change the internals to make it 80ep?

Is it just me that's a bit confused a hope 40t hub with 40ep?

Are you running the hub with only 2 pawls?

They have 40 teeth on the driver, and 4 pawls acting in pairs making 80ep.

You need to do nothing to your hub unless its a much older hope pro 2 without 40t

The standard Hope Pro 2 Evo (non Trials/SS) is 40 EP as standard.

But the OP was asking if there was anyway of converting this version to a have the 80 EP of the trials/SS version.

So yes, it is only you that is confused.

I have the hope pro 2 EVO 40t but not the trials/ss version. The hub shell is a slightly different shape.

In answer to the original question, there's no way to do it properly. The free hub body is a different length which in turn means the axle and hub body are different too. You could cheat it a bit by grinding the tips of some of the pawls but that's not really ideal...
