Aaron Browne - Stop Stop

I think a little rock/curb setup like the beginning of the video, within 5 minutes of either my office or house, would probably keep me entertained enough to actually get my bike out.

Oh yea, the riding made me want to do that whole 'going outside with my bike' thing.

My guess is filed dropout to fit 22:16/15 with near to perfect chain length?

Could be, but how would you keep even tension on the chain throughout it's life? I've had to adjust my tensioner already after fitting a brand new Z610x..

Luke Cockshott did some jazzy shit to his Hex to run it without a tensioner - seem to remember it involved filing and some weird use of a snail cam in there somehow.

I don't think Aaron runs the standard gear ratio on the Hex so I guess it could just be that it works out once the chain's stretched? I dimly remember helping fix his bike at some point and it being possible to just about run without a tensioner...

I filed it out and replaced the bolt that holds the mech in place with something to run a snail cam against. Worked perfectly fine, I also did that with a 2013 Foreplay and the latest model Foreplay (which I had to drill and tap for a snail cam bolt on). No tensioner is way better for my riding style but having a tensioner seems to suit a lot of riders also. In my opinion anyone moving to street who didn't have one before is best just opting to continue not to have one.

Video wise this is really cool I watched it on my phone the other day quickly and it was worth a second view on my laptop for sure. I think The Black Keys have been used to death a bit within the riding community now though and to end on a high Aaron should be the last person to use them for a couple of years!
