I stick the bike in the lowest gear and then set the length so the mech is being pulled up towards the frame a reasonable but not excessive amount. One thing to remember if you're doing it on a full sus bike (which I only learned the hard way when going to 1x10) is to let the air out of the shock and fully compress the suspension to ensure you cover the 'worst case'. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
