Went for a training ride this morning to judge fitness levels. Two laps of follow the dog, 12 miles without a break, average speed of 9mph - all fuelled by a single bowl of granola an hour beforehand. Fitness was compounded by 5 1/2 hours sleep and aching muscles from moving my parents concrete coal bunker for them yesterday.

I reckon with fresh muscles and a regular source if fuel I shouldn't have much problem with the 37 miles, just got to learn how to slow myself down :)

Forks rebuilt with fresh oil and o-rings to replace the ones that were weeping, hopefully should stay oil tight now. Rubber wrapped the drive side chainstay with inner tube (it's rattly as f**k without) and tightened the mech clutch so should all be quiet now :)

Took advice from the local triathlon racing shop regarding fuelling and guided me in the right direction so hopefully should all be good.
