That's for the Arcade, but that's a secret too...

Lol, it does look more BMX-ish, But wouldn't share it of course! Keeping it Secrete as it is supose to be... Can't beleive that website decided to post the Skye before they were supose to though...

It's not changed really anyway since the v2 only colour and geo lol wouldn't panic

I think the only thing shared between the V2 frame/fork and the V3 is maybe the seat tube.  Every other part of the frame/fork is completely different.

So the question is why was the skye so suddenly released again? Any flaws with the old one or drastic improvements to the new one?

Was going to get a new skye fairly soon but kinda put off now because of a super quick change, anything new with it or did Inspired run out of paint? ;)

They sold out of the first batch, the plan had been to do the second batch in a different colour.  It's exactly the same frame kit/bike (apart from the Tripod seat/post setup).

The lead times for things like this mean that decisions are made months and months in advance.  It's not a snap decision, it's something that's planned.  That's why it was all timed so that when the first batch sold out the new ones were pretty much ready to go with only a relatively small down time for bikes being out of stock (from Inspired at least).

Having seen both of the colours in real life, I'm keen on both.  I prefer the smoother finish on the Skye frame not least because it means that you can clean it up a bit easier (taking photos of the black one was a bit of a nightmare as the coarse finish picked up dirt/lint/anything and was pretty stubborn about it).  As Ali said before, with the Arcade, it's colour is pretty much designed to work as the complete bike Inspired sell.  Matte black parts throughout with that frame colour looks really good as a complete setup.  There are a few BMXs out there with similar colour schemes that look really cool.

The Arcade had some tweaks between 2014 and 2015 models, this one has the same geo but minor details like the headset and seat clamp. If it ain't broke, don't fix it - clearly Inspired are happy with how the frame rides, just wanted to update a few little points so that's what they've done (Y)

There's nothing good about lower BBs :P

As Luke says there have been minor tweaks too.  The head tube, BB yoke, disc mount, seat stay bridge and seat clamp have all changed.  There might be some minor geo tweaks in future, but the Arcades have always been pretty much spot on feel wise so there's not been much incentive to change it.
