I thought you were joking then I saw no punchline.

Music is down to personal preference obviously. The video was kinda boring as I was always waiting for a bit more of something... can't quite put my finger down on it...

The worst video I've seen of him. Music was horrible.

Not sure what emoji to put here but picture a huge yellow circle with its face going UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH and HOLYSHITICANTBELIEVEWHATYOUTYPEONTHISFORUMSOMETIMES .

I thought it was incredible. I usually mute shit, had no problems here.  Way more trialsy than many of his recent films, the film/edit was fantastic.

Great video to end this year. No bitch crank on that rock manual... golden

Sometimes I'm not an Akrigg fanboy. His cyclocross edits were way better. I might add that I really don't like to see trials moves on a full sus. The only edit I enjoyed watching with this kinda bike was Dannys Wee Day Out.

Personal preference really. Don't get me wrong. His riding was incredible. Its just that I enjoyed other videos of him more.

And I would still love to see an inspired edit of him or a pure trials one.

All types of awesome. His bike control is ridiculous... not human!

Personally I thought that music was totally inoffensive and went pretty well with the video. I would guess Chris riding a mountain bike is much more relatable to a huge proportion of Mongoose' potential market when compared to his cyclocross videos. Fairly obvious when you look at their range and see how many drop bar gravel bikes they have compared to MTBs, so makes complete sense for them.

Although I agree, that in general MTBendurotrials videos suck, thankfully Ackrigg's videos seem to be an exception to this.

Really enjoyed this. I love the rough yet finessed moto style he has.

I also love the fact that Chris doesn't ride a 'non-trials bike' in a gimmicky way like you see so many others do. There's no fakie nose manuals for the sake of it/hopping across rails/those nasty pivot-tap-180-360 things. He just rides his bike how he wants and impresses with the little details like the half cranks that give you the special tingles and techy lines that riders will appreciate rather than cliché moves for the masses.

Was good, not as good as the water cycle in my opinion but hey, still good. Did think the music was a bit dull, better than the national express in wee day out (sorry, am I allowed to say detracting things about Danny?) I personally agree with @onzatpro09, Chris just rides the mtb naturally and does a good blend of trials and trails, for me this vid, like the rest of Chris's vids was just fun to watch.

Very, very meh following Wee Day Out...

You can't exactly compare Chris and Danny though. It's like comparing Formula Drift to Formula 1. Yes they both have 'formula' in the name and involve some madmen on four wheels, but that's about all of the simularities ;)

I kinda disagree there. They're both trials riders, of a streety orientation (though both bloody good at natural when they want) and both can push out impressive videos on whatever bike they fancy riding. Like it or not Chris's MTB videos are in the same genre as Danny's MTB videos but this one was just proper stale.

I'm going to out on a limb here...

Danny looks moderately awkward riding a full sus bike.  I think it's because he's under five feet tall,  something just looks wrong about it.

Watching Chris ride ANY bike is like watching an awesome porno with a really really attractive girl.  Nothing is awkward,  pure clean control that makes you excited to ride.

I know niconj has zero style- and style is something you are born with. You can't practice it, some beginners have better style than UCI pro puffers. Danny has a style that is small and muscley, almost forced.  Chris is like water... perfectly flowing and pleasant for someone who pays attention to little nuances.

I find Ali C more enjoyable to watch over Danny... even though Danny will win that bunnyhop contest... my favorite Danny riding was on that 26" echo? Bitd. Duncan Shaw has a similar style to Danny- very controlled and precise, I think they both need to do 30 days of micro dosing mushrooms and we'all get some nice style out of them. Loosen upppp

I've just seen all his videos he keeps posting, calls it like I sees it- he'll keep riding hopefully and be doing huge moves... but there will never be anything but forced jerky possible huge uncomfortable thing in ass style.

dont misconstrue what I said as being a hater of Danny, I think he can do shit no one else does and he's done more for the popularity of this sport in the modern times than anyone.  Hans Rey is still my #1 trials icon.

I will have to agree with you on that, I never had style and never will have but I have fun riding my bike.

Just explain one thing to me. Where did I say that Chris didn't have any style? I just said that I found this particular video the least enjoyable of the many he has done. According to some of you, I have to like all the videos Chris publishes? Why?

And I'm just sat here pissing myself laughing that were actually discussing this as a trials video when he's bombing through the woods and fields on a Full Suss Mountain Bike. What the F has this all come to.
