Beginner trials bike

Hi guys, so i suddently got the urge to try out trials biking. Im buying a used bike because of budget. I already have a long background of xc mountainbiking and a bit trail. My two options are monty 219 mag and monty 221 ti. By the pictures it seemes like the 221 ti has a slightly longer wheelbase. I want to ride some street trials but i know i wont be doing any fancy pancy tricks. I'l just learn the basics and play around. (Red one is 221 and silver one is 219) the 219 also has a lot of upgraded parts and comes with some extra shit. (Dunno if that makes a difference)

Edit: i realized just now that i posted this on wrong thread, sorry for that

theyre both good starter bikes. wouldnt worry too much about the wheelbase if youre just starting, just with whatevers cheaper. bear in mind one has discs and one has maguras, so if youre quite rough be prepared to be bending some discs back into shape. that said, id personally go with the 221. :)

Every time I get to ride a 221 (Pr or Ti) I'm amazed at how fun they are. They're not like the standard trials bike nowadays, much more balanced and easier to learn tricks on. They're also a joy to bunnyhop. I wouldn't look at the wheelbase too much as the remaining geometry characteristics of this bike make it quite unusual in a positive way.

With regards to geometry, the Ti is also going to feel much more like the "oldschool" Monty due to the "correct" stem and bar combo. The 219 has a different stem and bars which may change the character of the bike. One of the contributing factors towards a Monty-esque feel are the narrower, 680mm Monty handlebars.

The Ti bike looks a bit more fatiqued and may require some work to get it up to scratch. Check the for cracks before you buy it. I had 3 Montys in my riding career and cracked 3 frames, all Montys :P

Thank you very much. Its going to be hard to look at it too much before buying since its on the oposite part of the country. However i got a lot of images of it and it looks ok.
