That half hour long Anti-Gravity trial vid coming out.

arnoldgiaco.avi

The Islandstyle trailer.

That Anti-Gravity video was immense! Was like "holy shit, a half hour online trials video, record books!"

As was that Arnold video, couldn't stop watching that.

Island style was super good too.

Also remember;

  • DVD trailer for A...?
  • DVD trailer for a winter video, i think?
  • Echo Bikes 40minute video
  • When tesco car park was the daily ride spot
  • Trialsworks - amazing site that was :(
  • When that Pace RC220 or something was the dogs bollocks
  • Carbon was only used for race cars

DDG Shooters

Power Pro's

Trials Shack :(

And Street Furniture Trials's Video 'The Old One'

ooo and TM1

What did happen to X-street. I remember Deano riding for them or almost riding for them ages ago.

Some of you might have known him.

You might not believe me, but a couple of years ago, 2004? think it might have been, i was down in bornemouth in dorset on a family holiday. Riding around on my TA26 one day saw someone on a Zoo Boa! Got talkin and went for a couple of rides throughout the week. Anyway he was saying about how he used to run x-street and he was the first person in the UK to import all the ECHO and ZOO! frames, then his mate took over. As far as i still know he's in the royal navy flying Lynx helicopters.

So thats what happend to him, but you have to admit he's a true legend.

Deano doesn't ride at all pretty much now. He still has an Echo es1  Seriously i don't know which one it is. But it's got a seatpost hole, so one of the ES range?

Ok 2 more. Triple clamps on mods. Only just remembered when pulled out some old vids.

mmm any mention of anything Deng related isn't really old school is it? I started riding again at the beginning of the year, and hadnt rode for a good 3-4 years, when I came back into the sport I had never heard of companies like Koxx, Echo, Zoo etc so would guess that they have mainly come to light in the last 3-4 years? or am I very wrong about that one?

Things from when I started trials...

Team ORB

The ongoing saga of Robin Coope's Trials How-To manual

Scones!

Goatwheels

Sun Rhyno Lite rims

Ti Norcos

Ordering Revolution from Qranc in the US

Qranc pads

Threshold Bits

Riders like Paul Thomson, Dave Holmes, Stevie Thompson, Barry Deeks (on a bike ;) ), Kurt Brain...

The EBTC newsletter - as in actual paper.

The Martins riding Megamos and being sponsored by Coors

Watching Level Vibes many, many times

Queueing up to watch the trials show at Bike

Getting a bashring shipped over from Canada because you just *couldn't* buy one here. It was either that or make your own.

mtb-trials mailing list

Dan "The Face" Scheinder

Ben Savage and Scott Wilson when they were very young, but still insanely good.

Everyone being on Yahoo! messenger

The Bike Show at Olympia, and the trials demo being down the big sewer pipes from the gallery to the floor in 97

The trials demo rig in 96, and watching Ashton place a pallet to land on by eye, just knowing where he'll land without trying it. That blew my mind at the time!

Videos being imported from all over the place, and copies of The Bouncing Czech or the Kraus one being like gold dust. When word got out that I had a spare copy of Revolution, I had many, many offers to buy it off me!

Oooh, look what's in my loft... I even remember painting that GT Arrowhead to look like a new Zaskar in 2001, with crappy stickers I printed on the computer... And somewhere I have a virtually brand new Fatty R in red, although I never had any P-bones.
