abtrials Posted December 6, 2006 Report Share Posted December 6, 2006 (edited) well as the topic says whats you trials bike/frame family tree starting from you first bike ending and you most recent please put the bike's/frame's you have used?oh yea also put the time period over which this has been aswell.mine goes a little like this-raliegh assendern (standard)-shimano frame (crap Cheap parts)-kona Cant remember exact make 17", fsa cranks, tectro v's planet x bars (the rest was crap really)-zoo bits frame, kona p2's, tomac magura's, d521's on shimano hubs, el gato tyres, fsa pig headset, planet x bars, fsa cranks etc....-merlin frame (with the same parts as the above)- ddg shooter, pashley forks, tomac maguras's, ddg bars, downhill stem, 521's ceramic with shimano hubs, continentall vert pro tyres front and back, fsa cranks, filthy ard gard, fsa pig head set.........etc## this was over about 2/3 years ##(i then quit for 3 and a half years)came back with a saracen 2.6, frame snapped i now ride aZona zenith, mission forks, zoo bars, marura front and rear with citrus pads, middleburns, pro 2 rear with hog rim, hope mono lite front with mavic rim, maxis tyres, anyway whats yours Edited December 6, 2006 by rwiley Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

lankyri Posted December 6, 2006 Report Share Posted December 6, 2006 mission reefer, just put halo combats on them and new crank, and handlebar as i snapped it doing downhillthat was sold for like 100 quid because thats how much my new bike was going forsaracen mad 04 i think (the black one) second hand, upgraded rear wheel, brakes, bars cranks and pedals was going to keep the frame but ian decided to stand on the rear triangle and flatten it fatty bout a onza t-rex whole build and basically changed everything apart from the headset, mech, bb, front inner tube, everything else i changed, this was swapped for a bt raven 5 stripped silvergot this bt around june time this year and i love it to be honest only changed a few things rear wheel stem and grips thats about it, may treat my self to a new frame though and build it up over the yearcheers rick Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

endofreak Posted December 6, 2006 Report Share Posted December 6, 2006 Kona Muni Mula - Head tube fell off after 10 monthsMission Trials Pro - Cracked at front gussetMission Trials Pro - got this one as a replacement but moved to London a few months later and left it at home.Identiti Judge - Rode this for about a month before getting rid as I didn't like the feel of it.Pashley 26Mhz - Swapped the judge for this. Awesome bike but unfortunately the brake mounts fell off. Echo ES2 - Only lasted about 6 months. Cracked at the chainstay/dropout weld.Echo ES2 - Replacement frame lasted around a year, can't remember where it failed.Planet X Zebdi - Didn't like it, sold it after a couple of months.Koxx Levelboss 1065 - Great wee frame, kept it for about a year before deciding I needed a change.Zoo Pitbull - Another nice wee frame. Kept it for close to a year before selling it on.GU Typhoon (26") - Rode it for a few months then sold it on. Couldn't adjust to the High BB.Ashton Justice - Another frame that I only kept for a short time. Have grown too fond of longer frames.Zona Zenith - Current frame and currently liking it a lot.I got the Kona in the summer of 99 and have been riding on and off ever since then.
