  1. Dear All It has been both interesting and somewhat dissapointing to read some of the comments on this topic. Firstly, i would like to clarify that although Barbara Wright has resigned from TykeTrial, she is still (as far as we are aware) the Administrator of the BikeTrial UK Federation. It would be far more beneficial if people stopped complaining about how things are run, and got involved with clubs to help and if they feel necessary suggest changes. As far as TykeTrial is concerned, we have attached the latest update to this post. TykeTrial Update.pdf
  2. Entry forms online now ... hope to see everyone there! http://www.biketrialuk.co.uk/Club%20British%20Trials%20Cup.html
  3. Well done to the TykeTrial members who rode in the National at Seymours Arena on Sunday, you all did really well! Don’t forget the TykeTrial at Penistone Country Park on Sunday! Entry form here http://www.tyketrial.co.uk/events.html Please note: There will NOT be a food van at this event. Hot drinks will be available, but bring your own food along. See you on Sunday.
  4. Entry forms are now available on our Web Site for the Final round of our 2015-16 Championship.
  5. A great time on Sunday at Shipley Glen, some tough sections for the start of the new year but everyone rode brilliantly. Results are now available on the website. We’ve planned the club’s provisional agenda with a good range of venues for the rest of 2016, dates are all on the site now. Our next round is on Sunday 20th March at Burycliff Quarry in Derbyshire and hope you can all get there to make it another really good day. Entry form should be on the website soon. www.tyketrial.co.uk
  6. Hi Everyone Don’t forget Shipley on Sunday – looks like the weather’s going to be kind to us at last! On-line entry from the website www.tyketrial.co.uk as soon as possible please if you haven’t already done it. See you there. Barbara
  7. Don’t forget to send your entry form off soon for the first TykeTrial of 2016. It’s at Shipley Glen on Sunday 28th February, entry form is here http://www.tyketrial.co.uk/events.html. Pre-entry closing date is Thursday 25th, please don’t miss it, the butty van needs to know how many butty’s to bring along! You can enter on the day, but it will cost you an extra late entry fee so best do it now! Looking forward to seeing you all after the long winter break and hope you’ve all been practicing hard! Fingers crossed for a sunny day for us J
  8. TykeTrials fist competition round of 2016 had been confirmed. On line entry is available on our web site www.tyketrial.co.uk 15-16 R6 Shipley Glen Entry Form.pdf
  9. Thanks to everyone involved in yesterdays trial at Harden Moor, the results are now available on the TykeTrial web site, or you can download them below. 2015-16 R5 Harden.pdf
  10. As it says on the heading, a practice day on 29th November at Olde Hall Farm, Pocklington. Open to everyone, you do not have to be a club member. All man made obstacles, indoor and outdoor (floodlit after dark). Should be a great day so keep that date free and watch out for more information soon! www.tyketrial.co.uk
  11. Brilliant day today, despite the weather. Not a lot of entries so we went round the course in groups with an observer for each group ... great atmosphere, really friendly day and great for learning from each other Well done to everyone. Results will be on www.tyketrial.co.uk tomorrow night.
  12. Don't know 'Shooters' but the Flappits closed down years ago. Harden Moor is public land, you can ride on there without it being an organised event. You're not supposed to ride a bike on Shipley Glen without it being an organised event (but I know people do). Lee Mill Quarry over Rochdale way is probably still open, possibly also Back Cowm, but not been that way for a few years so not sure. Addingham Moorside is a definite no unless it's an organised event. Why not enter him at Harden on 15th November, there's loads in the beginner class nowadays, let him have a ride (free membership for first timers) and have a chat with the other parents, see where they all go to practice.
  13. New to trials? Only ever ridden street? There aren't that many clubs around in the UK but why not try to come along to a club event when there's one near you. It's a great opportunity to ride something new, meet other riders at all levels from complete beginners to elite, and to watch and learn new skills. The next club competition is on Sunday 15th November at Harden Moor, near Keighley/Bingley in West Yorkshire - don't look at it as a competition though, just use it as practice and you'll have great fun! (And who knows, you might even win a medal!) The next practice day is at Olde Hall Farm, Pocklington on Sunday 29th November - a mixture of indoor and outdoor stuff to ride. Don't forget to keep looking at the Clubs and Competitions section on this website to find out about events coming up, both competitions and practice days. As well as TykeTrial covering many areas of Yorkshire, there's the Crowthorne Club running events in the south, and the Scottish Biketrial Club running in the far north, not to mention Nationals all around the country. Go on - Give it a go!
