  1. Have you tried airbnb? Looks like there's a place nearby for £42 or there's really cheap rooms in Southampton https://www.airbnb.co.uk/s/SO45-5TD?guests=&checkin=03-11-2015&checkout=04-11-2015&ss_id=eovci7aq&source=bb
  2. Thanks, all you can do is try, otherwise you might live to regret it. I really, really want those trials bikes and bmx back! You feel like bargaining with them, even though that would be ridiculous. There's a reason why I went back to riding the limey 320 frame over the newer geometry, it suited my riding style and felt so nice! I've got to try to get it back somehow.
  3. Just thought of another detail about my Onza Limey - the HS33 mounts had been cut off the frame and filed down to a flat aluminium finish (looks a bit messy), which is very obvious should someone try to sell this frame to you. Not to mention the huge scraps/gouges on the downtube where I dragged it across a rock at Shipley Glen. It is very unlikely that there are any other Limey 320 frames out there that had this done to them. Also, as I forgot to mention it previously, the crime reference number is 44140386468, contact the police on 101 if you wish to give information anonymously. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/11574418.__6_000_cycles_stolen_from_top_rider/

  5. We have had some information on the robbery, but not sure if I'm allowed to share it until we hear back from the Police. I just want my bikes returned, I don't care about anything else, nothing can replace these. If they were annoymously dropped back at our garage I would be over the moon. Probably shouldn't be posting this garble here, but I'm desperate, I just need them to be returned, no questions asked.
  6. Thanks for posting this on here guys. Just for anyone that hasn't seen on facebook or elsewhere, 5 bikes have been stolen from Romsey, Hampshire: Onza limey 320 trials bike, gold frame with pink Chris King headset. Red Monty wheels and white rim tape. White monty bars, white Onza stem, SLX disc brakes. (no pedals) Echo 20" trials bike, silver frame with orange Echo headset. Black wheels and orange rim tape. Deore disc brakes. Orange crank bolts (no pedals). Prototype Onza Race BMX in green with a rear Chris King hub. Purple stem, Onza ‘Mongo III’ headset and nipples. Renthal Chainring on Shimano cranks (different cranks from photo), S&M race bars and XTR rear brake. Specialized Allez 52cm 2011 road bike, red with silver Planet X seatpost. Shimano 105 crankset, black bar tape (with purple insulation tape) and Black Specialized saddle. 2 x Planet X carbon bottle cages. Purple headset spacer also makes it more distinctive. Orbea Aqua 57cm 2009 road bike, white with green bar tape and an SDG saddle in white with a green tartan design. I can accept that the road bikes will be very hard to track down as there's so many of them, but the trials bikes and the BMX in particular is one of a kind. I am absolutely heartbroken that these have been taken. If anyone sees anything similar please get in contact, k.rankin@soton.ac.uk, 07515411167 Many thanks, Katy
  7. Hi Rob, I saw your wanted thread for a mod frame. If you're still looking for one, I have a Monty 221PR frame including eagle claw bashguard and hope headset. Very good condition, I can send you some photos if you're interested. Thanks, Katy (07515411167)

  8. New Onza frames should be in the country around christmas time. I hope so anyway! Can't wait to get my Limey 4
  9. Me and Ben will be there too. Hope it's a good turn out for Gav and the weather is kind to us.
  10. Is that Joe's old frame? (Mr Seddon)
  11. I already went for a nukeproof warhead ST. The trials rider in me said go for the aluminium one because it's lighter, but the engineer in me said stainless steel! Thanks anyway! Have to rebuild the bike now to see if it does the job.
  12. Really, really loving this! Nice colour, love the disc on the back. I really want a stock bike with a disc on the back, but no one makes a decent 26" frame with a disc mount anymore Let me know if you ever want to sell the frame!
  13. The Onza comp 2010 frame is amazing and great value at £179. It is short, light and can stand up to the most demanding riders (such as Jack Carthy) far better than a lot of other frames on the market. Plus it gives you the option of running either disc or hs33 on the rear.
  14. Have you had a go on a trials bike before to get a feel of what sort of length wheel base you want? There is quite a big difference in wheel base on the ice and the skull, even though it doesn't look like much on paper. Traditionally short wheel bases are supposed to be good for natural riding and long wheel bases for street, but it's down to personal preference really. A high BB rise makes the bike easier to control on the back wheel and, I would say, easier to learn how to hop on the back wheel if you haven't learnt already. Have you considered an onza blade? It has a 1020 wheel base and a 70mm BB rise, plus it is lighter than the ice and the skull and way cheaper! I would recommend the comp, but I know that they are going to be out of stock for ages as Onza are waiting for their next shipment to arrive. Some people seem to be put off buying them because they are cheaper than the other frames on the market, but they are really good and can stand up to some demanding riders (Jack Carthy!). I personally would buy the blade or comp frame and put the money I had saved in to buying better spec parts to go on it like sealed bearing hubs, a decent freewhel (Tensile 96 click!) and decent brakes. I ride the limey 320 frame which I love, but they are really expensive, especially if you are only just getting in to trials. If you do want to get an Onza Ice, do it quickly because they are being discontinued! I haven't heard of anyone snapping an ice, unless they have completely battered it (and that was just a crack on a chainstay).
