  5. Thanks all! I was hoping you was going to say that
  6. Ok another stupid newbie question from my self I still don't have a clue about most things trials and have just been getting to grips with my new bike which i traded for. I've been trying to learn to trackstand and rear hop using the pedalkick method which i feel i'm getting pretty close to hopping despite taking nearly a month *cough* Anyway i've been watching trials/street riding videos and was wondering if i'm at a disadvantage with not having a fixed hub? As it just freewheels. Would being able to back peddle make it a lot easier? Once again sorry for the lame question
  7. Must stop reading these threads. Just started trials and i'm petrified that the forks are going to snap and go through my neck! lol
  8. The buyer on EBay messed me about so traded instead for Marino Fourplay Identiti Tuning forks Chris King ISO rear hub on Atomlab Trailpimp Hope Pro II front hub on Atomlab Trailpimp Middleburn RS7 cranks with Leeson bash Trialtech High Rise bars Onza stem Eclat seat/post Magura HS33 rear Hope Mono Trial front Shimano Tiagra locked out mech
  9. Once again thanks for the advice. Took out my bike this evening and i just couldn't rock the bike into a wheelie but i did manage to pedal kick(?) it right up and almost hold it there. Gave me a huge boost of confidence and i'm sure i'll be hopping soon! Woohoo
  10. Thank you so much for the advice everyone I'll take a look at the links when i get back from work. I thought about the tyre pressure as i see a lot of vids of people hopping there tyre seems very low on pressure and i thought it might make hopping on the rear a lot easier as it would create a flatter surface of the tyre when bouncing but maybe i'm wrong
  11. Hey all! Well i'm brand new to trials and have never done it before. Basically what shall i start to learn? I'm used to a full sus bike so it's quite a change. I've been trying to get up on the back wheel and finding it tough, i'm not sure if it's just a confidence thing but any tips on how to do it would be great. Just anything to get my confidence up in trials would be great as currently i'm crap edit - Also tyre inflation how much does this play a part? Many thanks

  13. Hey all! I'm new to the whole trials biking and am currently in the process of possibly trading my 2007 Kona Stinky for which has a 26" frame and also is this a good trade?(That question is for the purpose of my Mrs who bought me my Kona). Will this frame size be suitable for me? How much of an impact does frame size have? My Kona Stinky is a 15" but it's for downhill purposes obviously so i'm confused I'm around 5'7 in height and weigh about 10-11 stone if that helps at all. Thanks all.
  14. Cheers for the reply guys. Currently dabbling to see if anyone would be interested in trading for my 2007 Kona Stinky dh bike.
