  1. I too have just got a shogun gimp after getting back into trials about a year ir so ago. I finished riding trials back in 2000. Last year I had a monty street 26" for a while but sold it to get an xc bike but now got the gimp as well. I find it really easy to ride, easy to keep it on the back wheel the big fat maxxis creepy crawler helps!
  2. The pedal kick was one of the hardest things to learn for me but once you'd done it it felt amazing. Although was on an 18" gt with suspension forks and I think it had canti brakes!
  3. Amazing post haha my shins have scars all over! just keep practicing it'll click in the end.
  4. Hi all, I'm kyle. I got back into trials a year or so ago, I learnt back in the late ninties after watching tricks and stunts! Got pretty good gave up at 16 though. Now have two kids got interested again after watching danny macaskill video. Going to start teaching my son when he's a couple of years older so want to get good again for that and for my own satisfaction!
  5. Hi, I also rode trials 13 odd years ago and got back into it over the last year or so. I too had never heard of rim grinding til then either! I rode a kona 16" with v's and never really struggled at all you dont need magura's just some good v brake pads. Ive just bought a 20" bike thats got v's and ground rims I changed the pads and there is plenty of bite! Racks me off when people tell people you need this you need that when you dont, I learnt the basics on a 18" gt timberline with rst forks!
