  1. Yep in the final section Jack's back wheel crossed the tape while he was dabbing. He got a five. Vincent knew what score Jack was on and knew that he had won the moment the five was called, hence the excitement on his part.
  2. I managed to get some basic footage of the men's 20 and 26inch finals and the women's finals at the world championships in Andorra. The footage is basic (crowds were crazy) and the edit raw, but nonetheless they are footage. If you want to see Vincent get very excited then make sure that you watch the end of the 26inch video... 4. Thanks for watching the episode and for the feedback everyone. Given that a few people found the episode interesting so I decided to do a follow up (no interview this time, just me) and expand on a particular experience that I had recently while riding trials that fits into the sport psychology theme. Have you ever had that thing happen where you can do a move, then you make it bigger, higher, scarier and suddenly you forget how to do it? This episode is about that, and a little mental hack that I have been trying to overcome it. For anyone who's wondering, I took the feedback about the squawking birds serious and recorded this in a much quieter space using a better microphone. It should be easier to listen to. Let me know what you think. A usual, feedback is welcome! The episode of available here via youtube, iTunes and download.
  5. Here are a few clips from the world cup in Albertville. Footage is quite raw. Cips are from the men's semis and finals (20 and 26) and the women's final. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7dhxhDNLho&feature=youtu.be
  6. Here is some footage from the final of the French Trials Cup in Montgenvre. The footage is basic and so is the edit, but nonetheless it's footage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1gHpG_kHuI
  7. Interesting thoughts Dave. I'm keen to chat more with you about a bunch of what you said. I'm not sure if trials forum has a chat feature (I couldn't find it). If not, can you shoot me an email via the details on this page http://jackmullaly.com/contact/
  8. Thanks for watching guys. I'm glad that you related to what Dan was talking about and got something from it. Let me know how it goes when you try and apply it to your riding. I'll take onboard your comment about the birds and record future intros in a quieter place (well not the next one, I've already done it... but all the ones after that).
  9. I recently had the chance to sit down with a sports psychologist, Daniel Dymond and discuss the application of sports psychology to trials. We touch on a whole range of topics including techniques to become comfortable with scary situations and improve riding performance. If you're interested you can check it our here http://jackmullaly.com/2015/08/13/jack-mullaly-discussions-episode-7-the-psychology-of-biketrials/ I'm keen to know what you think of the topics Daniel and I discussed. Cheers Jack
