  1. Thanks Bing, the seller hasn't gotten back to me yet but I still have good hopes. Are there any main differences in buying a trails bike over any other second hand bike? I'm guessing damage to the frame, fork and cables that isn't cosmitec would be the big things to look out for.
  2. So for background I'm very big into bicycles and currently own 7.5 and trials is something I've wanted to try it for some time, I came across trials on the internet in 08/09ish and remember being mesmerised by the videos on youtube and vimeo especially Chris Akrigg's Vimeo channel, he's still my favourite rider to watch. So I have the opportunity to buy another... bike, I'm in Canterbury for 9 days and thought I'd check what second hand bikes are available in the area. This led to me checking what's available back home in Ireland. So I'm down to 3 options: https://www.gumtree.com/p/bicycles/24-trails-bike-/1131215718 Seams like good spec from what I can tell, with a fresh rear rim grind. I've messaged the seller but the issues with this is I have no transport to get there so it's dependent on if the seller will travel. I have asked the local bike shop to save me a box and packaging as I'm flying back to Ireland so it will cost me €60 for flying it back plus what ever the shop ask me for (and if they don't ask me for anything I'd tip them £10 anyway) http://www.adverts.ie/mountain-bikes/onza-t-rex-mountain-trials-bike/8506653 Older but it'll work out ~€160 cheaper. It's not a particularly far drive from where I live back home http://www.adverts.ie/crazy-random-stuff/diamondback-tekia-trials-bike-bicycle/6806103 This is my second favourite behind the echo, as with the Onza the asking is €200. The negative is that there has been a few snapped frames http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/149420-diamondback-tekiya/ and as I'm 110kg (242lbs) I'm a little worried. So I realize I've linked one 24" and two 26" bikes, I'm 6'3" and even though I do own a 20" bmx I'm leaning away from a 20" trials bike as I plan to do a bit of urban riding and get some pallets for messing around my yard. If this isn't a great decision please comment as I am a beginner to this discipline. The second big difference is gears, as a beginner I can't imagine this should be high up on the list of priorities, again any advice on this opinion is appreciated.
