A Shimano bottom bracket tool

A bottom bracket tool is a device which fits into a bottom bracket and allows it to be tightened and loosened using a normal spanner. Bottom brackets from different manufacturers may have different tooth patterns.

Generally speaking, they require a large (around 32mm) spanner to turn.
