Brake modulation
From TrialsWiki
Brake modulation is essentially the action of slowing the bike down due to forces aplied from the brakes. The best brakes in terms of modulation are normally disc brakes, whereas most rim brakes are usually too grabby to provide effect slowing.
Brake modulation is useful in moves like stoppies ( nose manual ) and manuals where the brake is used to control the bike position to help the rider keep the bike at optimum angle.
