Bunnyhop
From TrialsWiki
Considered one of the fundamentals of trials riding , this is also one of the few trials moves found in other riding disciplines . The bunny hop forms the basis of many other moves and involves lifting both wheels off the ground ( usually front first ) so as to clear or ride onto an object .

[edit] How to bunnyhop
Toeclips and clipless pedals are a big no-no. Do not try to bunnyhop using toeclips or or clipless pedals (the ones which use shoe attachments). It is dangerous and it is not the right method to do it - should you need to bail you want to be able to land on your feet and toeclips etc will hinder your ability to do so, resulting in major pain.
Bunnyhopping is one of those techniques which is notoriously difficult to learn, until one day it all suddenly makes sense. However, some basic instruction can help you reach that point a little bit sooner.
[edit] The idea
Lift the bike vertically off the ground while riding along.
[edit] The technique
This is a pretty simple one (but not to explain) and shouldn't take long to learn. Ride along at a running pace, point your back foot towards the floor (so the back pedal is vertical, don't worry it shouldn't come off) then push back and up into the pedal to hook the back end of the bike up (so the back wheel comes off the floor), pull the front up at the same time, and yipee doo-dah, you've done a bunnyhop.
If you are starting out biking, and have only ever used a normal bike to get around on, you may be clueless (as stated above) how to do it, you will pull the bars up a little bit and feet will just lift right off of the pedals. This will phase you (as stated), one of the most helpful techniques for bring the bike up with you (pedal wise) is to 'wipe your feet on the pedals', just as if you had stepped in something with both feet, this phrase should help you a lot if you can get yourself to do it.
