> Good foot

When riding a bike with the pedals level, the rider has one foot in front of the other. Most, if not all, trials riders have a preferred forward foot, which they find more comfortable. This is called their good foot, or sometimes their 'Chocolate foot'. There is about a 60:40 split, with most people favouring their right foot.

It makes very little difference which is your good foot, though it can affect the way you ride. For example, most people say they find it easier to sidehop away from their good foot. Similarly, it may affect which direction people like to spin, E.g. for 180's.

Some people like to ride with their 'wrong' foot forwards, to challenge themselves. This is sometimes called riding switch. Mainly this is just something different to learn, but there are instances where being balanced with either foot can be useful - For example if you are trying to wheelswap something, you can sometimes increase clearance at your pedals by riding switch.
