  1. Dont have pics of my base. Had good fun on that going up to bash n what not.
  2. Ahh right yea I get'cha. No drilled BMX rims seem to be massivly lite weight... Flys, these try all things and they seem to have disadvantages over the oddy rims. If I was buying new BMX rims id just go for standard black hazzard lites. Nothing better for the money. Try-all are way off the mark with these.
  3. I was always under the impression you wernt spozed to drill holes in the seam becuase of possibility of splitting or whatever. I thought that was why the valve hole was normally drilled oposite the seam and then the seam left undrilled. Obv. the valve hole is alot smaller than a hole in a drilled rim, but how come more companies arnt drilling the valve hole on the seam?
  4. Chainstays, you need a healthy balance, too long and it wont sit on the rear wheel. However you may want abit more length than normal for stability on manuals etc. I just bought myself a stock street=ish frame, although the wheelbase isnt MASSIVLY short it is abit shorter than normal. And yea, Low bb=good.
  5. Well of course! let me get it first. Iv also got a few things on order aswell
  6. I havnt read any of this thread other than the title (sorry) so ignore this if its massivly stupid. I was having this conversation with my dad this morning, I dont know wether by petrol you mean the death of the internal combustion engine or not but if so, I belive that this will take masses of joy out of driving and totally kill all motorsport () Because one of the things i like so much about race cars/nice road cars is the sound of that engine. Who wants to sit and listen to an electric car? A V8 burbling away in traffic then roaring away is music to my ears...
  7. Well, Im in search of an awsome brake that is silent, Im fed up of making masses of noise when I want to slow down when riding too and fro places etc. Tempted by dual disk, however I am convinced I will land on my rotor, Everyone says I wont But I land on the disk mounts on my pro 2 now and then and I know that because there scratched. Im not up for having to fork out 15quid every week or 2 for a new rotor
  8. My friend has the kink on his BMX it is a really nice seat your best bet for the stump is bmx race shops id imagine as its mainly race BMXs with that diameter seat tube. If not.. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=1092 Its actually 25.4-27.2 but im sure itl do the job/tape/slices of coke can will shim out that extra 0.2mm
  9. Im guessing youv browsed through the seats on alans bmx for the pivotals. Havnt looked for a while but I remember the macneil SL, kink and eclat seats being nice, there mostly on the same bases, but with different colours. As for posts, Im pretty sure the 27.2s are the non stump posts. Although the new inspired posts are 27.2 arnt they? You could of course run a shim.... CRC do a 27.2-25.4 shim for about a fiver i think, Thats what I was planning on doing..
  10. Says the man with the boxx...
  11. Does anyone have any experience with the czar freetrials, after somthing with a seat n what not and streety geo. I want to however be able to do "real" trials on it. The geo seems like a perfect compromise, only thing is the rear end is 5mm longer than I would normally think of as acceptable. I know there arnt many of them about, this kinda increases the appeal for me Dont say get a 24, I cba to buy new parts, and I dont want my normal riding to be affected really. Cheers. EDIT: First impressions having just bought one, Despite my brake not working, I rolled around on this for abit. It feels very flicky and responsive in a similar way to my old onza zoot, it has a similar chuckable streety feel. However unlike the zoot it doesnt feel cramped and short, it still feels rather trialsy and asthough I could gap it etc. I must say that the single attempt I had at getting on the back wheel was severly hampered by a brake that wouldnt hold my weight, but the rear end length didnt feel particularly noticable, and if there is any real issue Im sure it would be easy to get used too. Looks wise the frame looks a million times nicer than it does in any pics I have seen, and is actually very nicley made and looks pimp. Not to weighty either My inital thoughts are that if you want a more streety bike without loosing the ability to bust out the odd bit of TGS this is definatly a bike for you, I have owned both stock and 24" bikes and this is a perfect compromise between the two. So far, very impressed. Time (and a working brake+few new bits and bobs) will lead to a nice review of this bicycle frame EDIT2: Pics dont do it justice atall, Il have a proper ride tommorow, really could do with a shorter stem, this is too long I recon. Better pics soon, when nice new parts arrive.

  20. bollobks just re-read that and your after drive side it it was non drive side or a removable axel, we have a sort of clamo type thing with opposite threads on either side. It goes through the axel hole in the bb, clamps itself onto either side of the thread, tighten either side up with big ajustables. then turn whichever side has the thread opposite to the way your undoing the BB cup with a beasty ajustable. Thats my attempt to explain, not only is it hard to explain, but Im in agony with a crimped (or somthing like that) neck and im immensly tired. Sorry Edit: my spelling is apauling due to typing this lying down with my head on a pillow, due to my bad neck. Sorry.
  21. I work in a bike shop, there is a tool for situations like this dont worry just stroll down and ask them to take a look
