    All Things 24"!

Thank you! Yea I am aware the bars will weigh abit more than alu ones but then for hardcore street (not that Im in any possible way hardcore) Alu bars are well... alu alu=snap not bend i do enjoy my face. Steel merly bends. I know for sure that Im being way to much of a worrier (I will most likley eventually get ea50s or 70s) but if I have them around I may aswell use them. Edit: 3" open prisons are 440g and easton ea30s weigh 325g Its not a massive difference if my front end feels heavy then I may well get some alu bars.
  5. Looks too small to me, also far to close to houses and we had serious issues with the type of land and money had to be spent to sort it out. canny see it happening my friend
  6. Hes right I use alot of schwalbes at work as they come on most higher range dawes bikes and its one of the cheaper tires we stock so a very common replacment option. They are indeed very loose fitting tires I have several times inflated the tire only to have the tube pop out at fairly high pressure and go bang scaring most people in the shop shiteless Try pumping it up a tad harder than normal, and make sure you lift the tyre and wheel off the ground when you pump it up and hold it by the spokes this way there is no real force pushing the tyre up or down on the rim (other than good old gravity) by doing this the tyre should seat properly and evenly on the rim so its less likley to pop off in one place. Thats about all I can really think of trying as normally after doing that they normally go on fine for me.
  7. Whats up with silver urbans? Orrrr spray your urbans nicley? then you dont have that gay echo sign on them... why o why could deng not just invert the colours of the old stickers on silver urbans would look 10000000 times better.

    Street 26" Frame

Hes inded correct, I had one and for streety stuff it was actually nice wasnt to bad for real trials either in fairness. just make sure you run alot of rise in your stacker/bar combo, the ride of mine was killed by a low front end.

    Street 26" Frame

On a related note, anyone know when the mk2 24uk wis actually going to arrive?
  12. from the looks of it. no. it could as far as i see need a thinner rim and thats about that. :/ EDIT: Vee Urbans FTMFW
  13. Ahhhhh I see, get some vid on the inspired that thing is sexualllllllllllllll.
  14. to me looks like rim is wayyyyy to wide looks more suited to like a mavic or somthing (like pashleys etc) they are a thin fork, Urbans were only good for it because there so damn fat at the top. i dont actually no what to sugest, have you tried taking all the spacers out? admitedly you wont get the up and down movement but it is possible they will be at an acceptable angle to the rim and be far enough out not to be gaaaaayyyyyy. I mean even on my dmr frame my brake arms are pretty pushed out, avids dont do so well with fat rims..... EDIT: send them back.... but dont go back to your urbans now i see why you wanted me to come over so much...

    Life

Sometimes I actually cannot sleep unless naked. To be honest. I am very very glad I exist. I mean sure life never really goes how you want it to (unless your one of those b*****d people that EVERYTHING goes right for and end up a millionaire by the time your 25) (although Im sure they have things there not happy with money doesnt equal happpyness) But really Im just happy Im alive and as far as I can see I just have to make the most of what life throws at me no matter how bad as alot of it I cant change and I need to deal with it, guess it could be worse really.
  16. And where were you on your sexy inspired?
  17. well my wb and hta are exactly the same as that hmmm what to do... what to do :/
  18. To save me from making two topics on these smallish questions I was wandering what forks there are available with 24" mounts for vees (or 4 bolt i guess) Im not really a massive fan of the steel forks (pashleys with lower mounts welded on or the 24uk forks) I know that there were ashton forks available at one point with two points for mounts and wondered if thats what these are? I am guessing that these are now only available second hand? How well did they sell (or how hard will it be to find someone wanting to sell them) and what are they like on the strength front? My second question for y'all is: what length of stem would you recomend running on a 24" bike, I was looking at the 70mm hope dh stem with 0 rise. Although i would rather run somthing with a 25.4 clamp. Im going to be riding very much street orintated riding at skateparks aswell as the streets so I need somthing really strong and short enough for bunny hops and manuals etc. But also long enough for the control I need for trialsy stuff, I thought 70-75mm mm with about 10 degree rise would be a good compromise. also I was looking at running as much as 3 inch rise bars, I have some gusset open prisons lying around only thing im not sure about is the width, There 26" anyone else run these bars or anything similar? So far the stems I can find (that i trust my face with) the easton vice 65mm stem although maybe thats a tad short for the trialsy side of things? but I know its good for street as I had one on my dmr transition. The easton all montain stem which is 85mm (dont no if i trust my face with it...) and the hope stems (either the 70mm dh one or the 90mm one) any others to consider?
  19. I am actually quite tempted to go for this now, Although obviously I will give it a while before I make any proper decisions. Another question though. If I decide it is indeed what I want to do do people think it would be a better idea to carry on as levels (and to be honest most probably fail them) or drop out and get a job working unqualified with a gardener of some kind to a. make sure I do want to do it and b. get some experience before taking a course in septmember at college....
  20. Could that front wheel be any more drilled? looks good though, its got that "used" look
