    Uci World Chapionships

Well done to Sam and Ben, both have now qualified for the 26” finals in the Junior and Elite finals respectively, the only Brits qualified in what looked like a hard fought competition.
  2. Congratulations to Sam Oliver and Ben Savage – both have qualified for the finals of the UCI World Championships on 20”.
  3. JD are there to report on the event or just watch?
  4. Update following a recent site inspection: The rocks have remained in situ, unlike last year. Pipes are ready to be moved to the back of the grand stand and the log pile has survived adjacent bomb fires and BBQs. We may have to alter our section plans up at the dam as it has collapsed somewhat so I am considering including some areas further downstream that were explored for that World championship. Expect two days of good action with plenty going on all around both in the village and town centre, with bands and entertainment throughout the weekend. Year on year I talk to trials visitors that dont watch the 4X event I urge you to stay and watch its always a great spectacle and highly entertaining, you have a pass so may as well use it. Entries are flowing in, but the earlier we get them the easier it is for the admin team, so please enter promptly. Full details on our web site. Fred.
  5. “I think before criticising any organisers of both uci and biu trials it should be remembered that these people give their time for free – in this day, time is one thing people are usually not very willing to give.” You need correcting here Dave, no one is or has criticised the UCI in any way in this post. In the past riders have had representation at BIU events regardless of where they are, the problem is now the person who holds the delegate’s authority is a disorganised idiot who, appears to hold or have little or no regard for the riders he represents. In 2009; Little or no information for riders. Delegate stated that he would attend – then did not go. No UK kit supplied. No one that actually attended invited to act as delegate. The riders from the UK appear to have enjoyed absolutely no representation. What has happened to Sam is scandalous – IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ALLOWED. Dave, how can you as a fair and considerate person stand by this farce, frankly I am disgusted. I hope all those that fell foul of the awful food and sanitation at this event soon recover. What the hell has happened to the BIU that so many riders used to enjoy? Fred Savage, (a spontaneous reply to an ill conceived post that attempts to defend the indefensible).
  6. Don't worry - we provide toilets....................... The sections I set are not designed to be used as a laxative. Choose a route you feel comfortable with and have an enjoyable day, no one expects new riders to push themselves to hard, its about having fun and meeting up with like minded people. Fred.
  7. Mick Scriven and I are leaving early tomorrow on the drive up to Fort William to start section plotting on Thursday morning. It’s refreshing to see such a healthy entry! I am also pleased that the media are at last starting to take notice. I’ve spent some time on the phone talking to the producer explaining the finer points of our sport, this has resulted in the commitment of a full on camera crew with many cameras recording the action. There is one aspect where all participants and interested parties could help, time after time the same people are called upon to observe – some more assistance in this area would be more than welcome. Remember, all riders and officials receive valuable passes, even packed lunch will be provided. If you are attending the event with or without a rider and wish to help out please contact Barbara and volunteer your assistance, it would be greatly appreciated. See you in Fort William. Fred.
  8. Familiar Bike trial sections, but with an engine.............................................................
  9. Not long been back from Fort William where I observed at the SSDT. Took time out to visit the comp site to check that logs, rocks and pipes had been safely stored since last year – all seems OK. Those entering should note that they receive two passes to the whole event. There is plenty going on, if you have never seen a world class 4X its well worth the visit especially when your ticket is included in your entry fee. Below is an outline of activities, please note the word provisional, times may/will vary. There is plenty going on, even free music and entertainment in the town on Saturday night. See you there! 10. Hope I am not being paranoid........................... All Plazmatic products purchased from me were supplied Tim, some have found their way to trade customers others have been sold retail. Fred.
  11. As of now - NO OUTSTANDING ORDERS. From time to time, (one in many hundreds), items get lost in the post but that is rare. No one on the forum can tell you if your item has been posted I fully recommend that if you have paid and an item has not arrived call the supplier. We retain proof of postage, so if your item has gone astray standard compensation is available to us and a replacement can be sent. When and what did you order as you forum name gives no clue to your id - we have not recently posted to a circus.

Just setting off for S.G. to start work on the sections. Its a great place, but as with many venues we are not sure how long it will be avilable to us, so make the most of it while you can! On line entries are prefered, but no one will be turned away on the day - see you there Fred.
