  6. I was told by Nick Melson that you might be the chap to contact regarding changing my user/display name? i set up my account literally years ago and I was hoping to just change it to my actual name! btw where are you in North yorks? I am in Scarborough, you been down the north bay there? the new skatepark has a sick rock section

  7. how do I change my user name? sorry if i am being a bone head but ive looked through my settings and i cant find anything thats related!
  8. I've been down in Coventry for years and I used to see some people riding about, I have never brought my trials bike down because of how quick bikes go missing in cov but i got it outta the shed the other day and i really want to find some other riders so i can bring it down! Theres so many good spots too!
  9. nah man it looks sick as it is! i got well into putting gold on my pashley after a trick gold stem and gold hope hub, i put a gold bash ring on there too but later changed it for a black one which looks better, maybe a few hints of gold, but maybe a few black bolt heads dotted around that white frame will look nice
  10. My Pashley 26MHZ, olympic magura rear brake and tektro front V, mavic rims, a hope front hub - I suppose this is abit oldschool now! I have changed the saddle to something abit more tasteful, this is the bike how it was 4 years ago, I've started riding trials again so I pulled it outta the shed! thoughts?
  11. <img src="http://photo.pinkbike.com/photo/877/pbpic877019.jpg" border="0" alt="IPB Image" /> That frame is completely abstract, around the head tube, i tried to consider the engineering of it and it crashed my brain
  12. thats good advice! i think I'll follow that too! I've been trying to learn to pedal hop and without someone explaining it properly to me ive had no chance!
  13. niiiiice, i am riding a pashley 26MHZ, i suppose thats massively old school, particularly as the frame is numbered 0007!
  14. really? in what way has it been easier? I am quite tempted to get a 20" bike too really? in what way has it been easier? I am quite tempted to get a 20" bike too
  15. cheers for the sweet links! If you can be bothered could you click the thing to help validate my account btw? I am gonna try to find some riders in Coventry, ive never taken my trials bike down to uni as coventry is bad for bike theft, but i really wanna get riding again and I am off down in a week so ive gotta decide If I am taking it or not! that trash zen site is fantastic! theres loads of great tutorials on there! I never thought about begining to learn the pedal hop without the jump, to get the pedal motion right, before thrusting the body weight to attain the hop! thanks!
  16. I can cherry hop without much a-do, and i can hop forward, but can someone give me a breakdown of how you learned to hiptothehop in a forward direction? I find the idea of pedalling forwards abit / whilst jumping forwards / and keeping my weight over the back wheel quite mental! But I guess ollying a skateboard (kick the tail into the ground whilst jumping whilst dragging your front foot up the grip tape to raise it and pushing it forward to level it in the air before getting both feet on it for a smooth landing) is equally as mental and I am almost there with learning that!
  17. It's hard to say, I ride a Pashley 26MHZ which as far as i know is one of the longest trials frames you can get, I' am 6 foot 3, and I still have to use a long stem, especially when riding two wheeled, but it is super comfy on the back wheel. how tall are you? I kinda disagree with the whole street/natural thing, as a new rider getting your first bike you want something that will offer the most flexibility whilst your finding your favourite spots to ride! Bear in mind that if you get a frame which is short you can always add a long stem and get it right, but it is important to get the right set up to begin with.
  18. Hi there! I am Callum, after an absence from trials for ages i pulled out my stock bike today and I've decided I should finally bring it down to Coventry and get riding! I am a Transport and Product Designer, still studying although I am getting a lot of freelance work! I am well into music and have piles of instruments around my house, I also like to skate!
