Hi dude , there alot of good starter bikes out there yes a t-pro or even a t-bird would be the way forward as they are great starter bikes, and yes you would want hydraulics or you might end up 6 ft under hehe, a t-pro does not have a seat were as a t-bird does, my mate picked up a mint t-bird the other day for £80! can't go wrong! hope i kinda helped you, let me know if you want to know anything else happy to help tyler.
