  3. my mate blew the piston seals on my magura louise, the brake did feel nice when it was working, but not half as nice as a avid bb7.
  4. rebuild/clean old maggie and buy a avid bb7, sorted.
  5. i used proper tyre levers to put my michelin tyre on my try-all rim and it bent the levers.
  6. from what ive seen they are good, but dont warrent their prices, i agree with AliC there are components out there equally as good for half the price or less like hope etc.
  7. thers a FAQ on bleeding maguras on here somewhere, just search.
  8. it has been done by the all knowing pete wright . dont see the point though, just replace the tpa with a cut down bolt.
  9. but he did ask for the best brake and ben moores avid on that m4 is pretty awsome you have to admit
  10. avid bb7, avid ultimate lever and linear cable and a huge hope m4 rotor, no dought the most powerful brake out there.
  11. i used to have a wireless mouse and keyboard, cant remembr the name but it was great. used to be able to sit in my bed about 3 meters away and still be in range they only play up when the batteries are on there way out.
  12. this may be a suprise, but you may have to get in contact with hope, or your local hope dealer.
  13. depends if there anough spokes, 32 hole rims can only have 3 cross cant they?
  14. sounds like too much hassle when a enginering ferm will do it for a couple of quid.
  15. you will be fine if you use a decent set of cranks such as middleburns, racefaces etc on a swuare tapered bottom bracket.
  16. i had my old koxx levelboss helicoiled on and it was 2 quid a helicoil at a enginering ferm.
  17. i've had two fsa bottom brackets and i've snapped both of them, now i'm using a shimano something or other linkage and i haven't had a problem since, fit it and ride it until the bearings go. you cant complain for £13.99
  18. hm, get a wider bottom bracket, shimanos are cheap and are amazing, most of my friends run them and none of us have had a problem yet. i also need to get a wider bottom bracket because its not wide enough, i have about 1mm at max chainring clearance on my echo control and as soon as the bearings start to go it will rub almost instantly. to be honest do what moza says and go single speed then you can adjust the chain to be inline with the chain ring then tension it so it wont fall off.
  19. all bike shops by law are not allowed to sell mods to people over 4.5ft.
