I did this before when i snapped my mech hanger years ago on my specialized, ive never been so scared in my life. On the teeth on the cassette the teeth are slightly cut at an angle to one side to make the chain move more easily. So when you have the chain sat without anything holding it (mech) it will want to change gear upwards. but if its working at the moment and you have tested it for a couple of rides it might be okay. Yeah, id say go with the cheaper one, and give it a bit of a tidy up, like someone else said, you doing it would give it a more homely feel and 100 pounds a month cheaper is fair bit, and another bedroom is allways good, even if you just used it for storage ! Mike

Get a khe, had mine a couple of weeks and it seems really good, dead stiff compared to a kool, the stiff links dont happen as much as people say ! Mike

I reckon to stop all of this gay looking trials stuff, trials brands should start making trials specific shoes, more casual looking and not like something from zelda. shops like tarty bikes and select bikes should make hoodies/cooler t-shirts, hats and shizz maybe! I know tarty are allready starting making hoodies and stuff which is a really good idea, same with the t-shirts they have been making for some time now. I think the "fag" side of the sport is pushed forward by brands like Koxx and Monty but they are comp specific components and clothing so i sppose they need to be, i dont really blame koxx as much because there clothing doesnt seem as erm.. tight ! The street side of trials is allready sorted for coolness, the gayest thing a street rider wears is pixie boots, and under a pair of jeans they look alot better ! Mike.

This would be unusual, but maybe the bit with the engadgements/teeth on has unscrewed from the hubshell ? Im just guessing from what i can see on the picture but it looks like that to me, lockring looks loose of first pic and tight on the second, you need to get some better pics up homie. Mike
