Both zoo pads and Plazmatic pads suck in the rain.As mentioned , get the Ali C joy blues and use them with a grind.

Thats the most silly thing you could do mate.Zoo pads really do suck in wet weather :cough: and in gerneral There is not a special technique to grinding a wheel.just drag the grinder across it relitively fast and make sure all the smooth braking surface is gone.If your going to get some winter pads get some from the koxx range , heatsinks or E-mail Mike Singleton and get him to snap up some phat pads Max...

Hi there. Welcome to trials-forum. The best place to get a bike from would be tartybikes. The guys that run it are great and its the biggest trials shop in the UK so they have loads to choose from. To start off with the best option you have is to get a Onza t- rex spec 1,these bikes are great value and ideal for beginners.It costs £499 British pounds. Also ask them to put a 'grind' on your rims (which is £2 extra per rim) the grind will help your brakes hold in the wet weather.Also get some good brake pads. links: bike brake pads There are different ways of ordering. The echo bearings are actually very good.They are infact japanese bearings. I have a echo non disc front hub and its mint.The bearings are really smooth and the hub is very low profile and lightweight.No problems since ive had it.(last Christmas) The Hope xc hubs are also very very good.I have had two of them and neither of them have broken. Except for when i cracked the flange , but that was after loads of harsh riding.If they do go wrong though Hope are very easy to contact and they will repair your hub sometimes free of charge.
