    Biketrialco

Hi, anybody know whats happened to the biketrialco site? Are they still in business or not? Also, does anybody know where i can get an Echo control long 2006? Information is greatly appreciated ,thankyou...
  14. No, it will not be possible to run a 24" whel on the adamant a1 frames... 116mm spaced frames require narrower spaced hubs. (mountainbike hubs are 135mm spacing) The 116 mm frames use snail cams/chain tugs which takes care of the chain tension and dont break when yu land on them... However...The 135mm spaced frames are also able to run a singlespeed gearing but also offer the choice to switch to gears if desired. But, the tensioner used is vulnerable to knocks and breaks easily... If you are going to stick with single speed set up, obviously get the Modstock. Any further questions? Its 4am and im the only sad ass up with a can of coke replying on here...
  15. It would be a good idea to get the Long Adamant if you are that tall. I high rise stem such as a Echo Hifi stem with 130mm length and 15 degree ris would be the best option... Both these parts and many others can be found at Tartybikes
  16. yer its an xtr fitting and Mike Singletons had his for ages and swears by it lol.
  17. either will do mate. But more people seem to have the longer bikes these days. Id advise the long.
  18. To be honest you are better off customizing a bike mate if you have £700. The complete bikes or 'starter' bikes do not have good componants on them and break easily and fast. Ideally a new rider should have strong parts, as they will not be as smooth controlled and accurate as some of/ all experianced riders. I think that it would be best for you to get a stock bike (mountain bike) and start out on that. The parts are a lot more common and easier to get than the mod bikes (bmx sized wheels). Also, to get the best prices, visit some specific bike trials shops and see what you fancy. Here is a guide to a good enough spec for your budget and for your level of riding... parts can be bought from Tartybikes Frame: Echo pure 2007 - £219.00 Forks: onza tuff guys - £40 Headset:FSA pig - £17.00 stem: fsa os - £23.00 Bars:onza t raptor - £25.00 Front wheel: revell rim on dmr revolver hub and sapim spokes - £70.00 Back wheel: Hope mono with sapim spokes on dx32 rim rim - £120.00 Tyres: maxxis minion front and rear £40.00 Bottom bracket: Truvativ gigapipe - £35.00 Cranks:Echo forged - £52.00 Pedals: vp - £12.00 Backguard: adamant - £20.00 Front sprocket: echo screw on £17.00 Brakes: magura hs33s - £125.00 Brake pads: Plazmatic cmrm's x 2 - £34.00 chain: KMC kool - £12.00 derailier: suntour - £10.00 All for just under 800 pounds (if you can stretch your budget a bit) This spec will last a lot longer than 'starter' bike spec... YOU BETTER GET THIS! THIS TOOK ME AGES.DAMN YOU NEW MEMBERS LOL... Good luck..
