(were you talking to me or the other matt and about what ride?) okie dokie then,so are you still up for it? if you aren't i've jost lost about 5 riders which is not cool. If you want to do a night ride then id be up for that. We will meet at southend central at 9:30 if thats ok with everyone, if you cant get down by then ring me on 07890766240 ON THE DAY and we'll arrange to meet at another spot.(or post on here a.s.a.p) The plan is to meet up at central, go to the police hq or whatever you want to call it, then the civic center/ memorial, probably go into town, grab som food and head towards peir hill. After that we can head down to the toilets if you want to ride them and could head back to any of the other spots if a majority of the riders want to go back to a certain one. If anyone thinks we should go anywhere else on the ride, post it here or talk to me on msn Also, can everybody who's coming try to bring along as many people as they can to keep numbers up. Cheers Matt -
i don't know what your running/how much money you have to play with/what your plans are, but i run singlespeed on my Pitbull and have an 18-16 ratio. I am running a try-all 108.9 freewheel and zoo rear hub this is my personal choice so its up to you really. as has been said before, don't use the casette as it may result in more wear to the teeth etc. if you want to get rid of the rear casette and use a single sprocket, i would recommend trying your hardest to run it bmx style, no tensioners. But if like me you cannot get the chain to join up at an appropriate point, use a chain tensioner(obviously) but mine slackens off ever so slightly so needs tightening before every ride. BMX style is by far the lighter and more reliable method so it's up to you really, Hope this has been helpful, Matt

i think a few people still go there, could be added to our grand tour i remember watching someone ride those on a white bike when i was about 9 i loved it! it all seemed HUGE !!! went back there t'other day and i was like" whoa! who shrank that wall? " peir hill has got really nice and all posh looking. There are big walls, little walls, rails, big gap drops, and its all swoopy going down the path to the bottom.
-
yer i think the best spot is probably peir hill (i dont know if you've seen it all and rebuilt joe) and ben and jack want to show me themselves hopping off an 8ft into the road it sounds good to me though. if anyone could bring a video camera that would be great (then you can video me being all crappy and beginnerish )
