NO! you don't. i had a go on my mates ones and it took a few weeks till i could put any weight on one of my knees... went straight into a wall at about 15 mph because he wouldn't tell me how to stop

explain to them in great detail how its a competiton bike and doesnt need one, then go on about a load of boswelox. in the end theyre so confused they agree and off you go only works with dumb cops though .if theyre smart and know the rules your fooked

you might of blown a seal, i did with mine on my dirt jumper. didnt know for years by then the brake was fully dead
