  1. a few quick question, has anyone run a maxxis minion front tread tire on the back wheel of their bike?and how has/does it perform?(grip ,wearlife, pinch protection etc). cheers, steve p.s i tried putting this topic in the small questions thread but it wouldnt have it.
  2. if you got a spoke key i personally would tighten every spoke by the same amount ,perhaps i 360degree turn .maybe more if they are too lose, until the spoke flex around 8-10mm when two parrelel (sp) spokes are squeezed together. steve
  3. i like your thinking by the way ,i wouldn't reccomend using alloy nipple on the back wheel, unless you dont buckle the your wheels much ;as i had some red alloy nipples and they rounded of really quick and the red finish didn't last long though it did look very pimp when the wheel was first built
  4. i imagine it'll be ok as long as its welded up to a resonable standard ,im sure i have heard of people doing still to their bike too. steve
  5. welcome back to trials, you bike looks really good steve

  7. im 5ft10' too, these size stems are mint ,love mine i also reckon it work well with different bike setups too(i used it on a +55mm and +20mm bikes). steve
  8. one of the nicest bikes i've seen, sweet spec and colour scheme the only things i would change if it was my bike would be a couple of little red parts scattered around. steve

  12. my try-all skipped when i had one,but never mind.i think yo'll find thaat people get different success when i comes to bike parts. steve
  13. i believe a poll was conducted in trials chat ages ago asking how many fingers were used to brake.i'll have a gander. . . taadaa! found it
  14. i dont think its too bad to be honest,it is fairly long but if you set up the stem and bars you can compensate for it.i can bunnyhop 2ft like, but i have really flat bars so i could possibly get some more height with risers .i find pedal ups very easy on this bike but that could just be me . steve
  15. i reccomend a eno freewheel,it hasnt skipped once sinse i got a straight bb ,it has strong engagement and all the spare parts are availiable seperately. steve

  20. no more than £300 i reckon, nice spec by the way. steve
  21. is it me or does your headset not look right? steve
  22. it will help a fair bit,but don't over do it.most people use a grind on their rims as this means that their brakes work in the wet . steve
  23. if your after a cheap rim tape maybe you should look into using some tape, like the sort that electritions use or maybe have a look in card shops if your looking for something shiney,as you could probably use the shiney foil stuff they sell. steve
