They don't piss petrol if you adjust them correctly.... bad mechanics blame the bike!!! BVM's are brilliant for parts, top postal people to anywhere in the world.

I now have a gu fixed rear hub and a front freewheel and i just feel better with it... nothing really wrong with my old Hope set-up but the tensile f/w i have has quicker take-up and as said above it removes some weight from the rear wheel giving a more balanced feel to the bike.

I did one similar a few months ago for around here... http://www.r2wtrials.co.uk/html_files/biketrialspots.html

You wanna try it at my age ... i usually mark out sections with some pebbles or smaller rocks as the markers, but i know what you mean... it all starts to look the same after a few hops

Martha and the Muffins, 1980 It is awesome when the sun goes down as it is looking out to the west.... was a nice red sky tonight after i had come home!! Sometimes looks like Cardiff is on fire!!

One Echo Pure and one beach... billy no mates tonight so went for a play up the road on sand bay beach, about 1.5km from my house. Did a few scenic shots and then tried the timer on the camera for a self portrait!!! Would have been fine if i didn't lose my balance and hop forward just as it went off, although i look better out of focus!! .. up in the woods above my riding spot is a jump site that the council have now given the thumbs up too and let them do almost what they want... recovered my breath by popping up and taking a few images of a guy playing. If i had my flash gun with me they would have been better.... More from the Beach ... Here... More of the jump guy ... Here..

what we want to see is some night time riding with long exposure shots... would look very cool with the lights tracing the way.

Nitromors is like a gel/liquid ... use an old brush to get it in every crevice of the frame. Leave it for 15 minutes and you will see the old paint start to bubble and peel off. You may need to get a wire brush to help remove old paint that may be in the weld ripples etc... but for feck sake mind your eyes, nitromors stings on bare skin and definitely is not recommended for eyes!! Hose off the frame after all the old paint is off and get some fine wet and dry and rough up the surface of the alloy. For a white final coat get some white primer and cover the whole frame witha couple of coats... let dry overnight and then spray with the white spray can. After 3 or 4 coats, leaving an hour or two between each give it a few coats of clear lacquer. If you are replacing graphics and you want them there for good put them on and give it another coat of clear. Leave it for a day or two and then rebuild the bike.... job done. Or if, like me this week, you are in a hurry just wet and dry and give it 3 coats of 25 pence a can spray paint from a sale and slap it back together

As a matter of interest... could you pop out and weigh them for me and PM me back ...

fited one on my Echo a month ago... piece of pee. Just be carefull when you are fitting the pipes to the barbed ends of the slitter. I used a magura fitting kit which is basically pair of clamps that you put in a vice with the pipe in the middle sticking up a few mm above the clamp. Then you need to get a small drift and gently tap the splitter onto the pipe making sure you are going down square.... the barbs can break off and you would have to buy another. Once fitted you then bleed first from one piston and then do it all up and bleed again from the other side. Technically it shouldn't make a difference but it cured my lazy piston problem straight away... both sides are in and out together now. And one less pipe on one side to catch and break!! Fitted view...

-
Cheers... yes they have a few options, Proper Job in Worle (near weston-super-mare) high street if you fancy a look!!!
-
Was getting a bit bored with my bare alloy Echo pure... a quick trip to local shop produced Holts Spray paint at 25pence a can for Vauxhall Midnight Blue, so that's the colour it had to be I am hopefully getting a new frame in a month or so but just fancied a change of look... only change will be the frame protector graphics on the down tube will be in black soon.
-
The graphics are not too bad a price... but depends how far you want to go. You can't see it from that side on my bike but it has an Akrapovic Ti front pipe as well... that is getting on for 200 quid alone, the cnc'd top clamp on the forks is another 150 'ish etc etc

My "old" Beta ... also thanks to steve saunders who sorted out all the bling last year. ... can't afford a new one sadly.
-
Oset is owned by a mate of mine from my school days... his bikes are for sale over here via Steve Saunders in the south and Graham Jarvis up north. The UK website is HERE
-
They are just jealous!! That's what dad's are for ... i am 43 and my parents still insisted on helping me out to buy my Beta last year!! And they live 200 miles away so don't even get to ride it!!
-
Would depend on what extras you wanted... apart from the white plastics all the other parts are sold by Steve so you could have more or less of what you fancy... Obviously the scottish 6 day is on from this weekend but drop him an email or give him a call and he will let you know. his site is http://www.saundersextremesports.co.uk

Probably The Best Training Equipment For Trials!
r2wtrials replied to Rusevelt's topic in Trials Chat
I think it is cheating to be able to remove it when you feel like it... i have the permanently fitted weight, my stomach ... now if i lose a bit of weight are you saying i may be able to jump higher!!! Not sure if my knees can handle the landing from more height -
Steve Saunders, multi british champion and runner up in the worlds, has put together this lovely Beta Evo... if you fancy buying one just like it give him a ring!! more details and images on my site... r2wtrials HERE as it is easier than linking to all the images again!!

Acu British Motorcycle Trials Championship
r2wtrials replied to r2wtrials's topic in Riding Pictures
What he said... slower and faster ignition curve. on the works Montesa's in the world championship you can often see a coloured light up near the throttle housing. They have the switch up there and 2 different coloured led's to show what mapping is selected. -
Nice bike mate... and lovely riding location. What's the midge situation like in the summer!!

I have a complaint... my Echo pure was once owned by Mr Macaskill i am told. Why won't it work proper!!!!!! Awesome video... i am not a fan of street in general being an old natural lover but that has pushed the limits big time. Natural is better if you are there watching it but this is just pure skill and entertainment. Lost count of how many times i have watched it now. I will go out and try and get onto and off 4 pallets tomorrow and feel even worse about my riding Go on then... someone beat that!!
